~Home, back home was a strange thing to even really consider. Hawk and Corbin hadn't been home in years and years. Hawk had been 19, Cor was 15 when they’d bolted with their father to never look back. And it had been good, crazy, but good. But now, they were going to have beg their family for help. Hell, Hawk knew that even if his father had still been alive, there was a good chance he’d not be asking him for help, but his mother and grandmother. His father wasn’t reliable like that. Or more to the point, they’d have robbed Ren and his pack blind, fucked Em and Colt and then left in the middle of night when no one was looking. That’s how it would have gone down if their father had still been with them. But that’s not what happened at all.~ ~They had driven, where the others had flown. But this time they were on a mission, so they drove straight through. They took Colt’s Jeep, taking turns driving and sleeping. Hawk pressed the other two to just drive and stop fucking around. He was worried about Em going to Paris. But he knew that’s where the vampire wanted to go, to get Jules and Finn back and maybe even Ciaran. But Em who normally seemed so cold and methodical was emotional were Jules and Finn were concerned. That’s what worried Hawk. He didn’t want the vampire to do anything stupid. It didn’t help he had these long nights on the road to think long and hard about how Em didn’t seem nearly as emotional about him. It was painful to think about, to realize that the person he loved maybe didn’t love him back as much. It was for sure, least in Hawk’s eyes that he loved Em way more than Em loved him. That was a hard pill to swallow.~ ~They drove straight through to New Mexico. Once on the actual Reservation, Hawk was all tense. When Colt made a little joke, the older Coyote snapped.~ Shut up, Colt. Both you keep your traps shut. Let me talk. We got some ass kissing to do to get help. No smart ass comments from either of you, you hear me? Both of you? ~Colt pulled back and nodded, looking at Corbin. He knew this was tough for the two of them and Hawk had grown more and more tense the closer they grew and the further he got from Em.~ ~Finally they pulled up infront of a stucco house that was the same color as the sand and dirt around it. There were plants along the front, mostly cactus and then the whole thing had decorations tiled and painted on it, all Native American symbols. Both Corbin and Hawk knew that their Grandmother and Mother were like medicine women, spiritual healers for the tribe and the Coyotes. They were considered to be almost sacred and they were going to be the hardest to convince to help. Hawk cut the engine and climbed out of the Jeep with Corbin and Colt. It was bright sunny afternoon, warm with a decent breeze blowing through that red desert.~ Here goes nothin’…. ~Hawk walked to the front door and as they drew closer Colt made a little noise and when Corbin looked he’d find the wolf staring at the large teepee standing behind the house. It was a spiritual place for them, a place that Corbin and Hawk had not been allowed to play in. They instead had only been taking in when certain rites and rituals performed. It had been almost magical when they had been in there as children. When Corbin looked up though, he’d see his brother at the door nodding for them to come on. Colt was tugged along and as they two got to the door, it would open right as Hawk was picking his hand up to knock.~ Hawk?...Corbin? ~The woman stepped out of the shadows. It was their mother and though older, she still looked just as beautiful. She searched their faces for a moment before she grabbed Corbin and hugged him tightly.~ I can’t believe it… You… you’re home… ~When she pulled back there were tears in her eyes. She reached out and tugged Hawk in as well, hugging him and then slowly she pulled back.~ Let me look at you… What is with all these tattoos, huh? ~Her eyes narrowed, but she was smiling as she looked Corbin over and then Hawk. Finally her eyes leveled on Colt.~ And you bring a wolf to our doors as well… Come inside… you all look hungry. ~Pulling them into the cool pueblo style house. It was homey inside, cool and comfortable. And there was something wonderful cooking on the stove. As they entered the living area a shorter older woman appeared. She stopped dead in her tracks and stared at them. Her hair was in two braids, grey almost white now. She looked them over and gave a snort before turning into the kitchen.~ ~The afternoon went like that. Their grandmother didn’t seem so happy to see them, but it seemed to be her nature to be a bit gruff. She fed them all and eventually she sat down, lighting a pipe and began to talk to them. Whenever Hawk or Corbin tried to bring up why they were there, she shut them down. She said she knew why they’d come, she had dreamed about it, that the buffalo had told her their problems. She had worried for them, prayed for them and asked the spirits to help them. And now that they were at her door, asking for help, she said they would have to ask the elders, but it would be two full days before they would meet with them.~ ~As dinner came, a group of coyotes came to eat, mostly to see Corbin and Hawk. They were cousins, they were distant family members, and friends of the family. It was like a big party and though Corbin and Colt were easily the life of said party, Hawk was quietly watching from the sidelines. It was a different stance for him and when he was asked about it from his mother, he simply told her he was tired. But she could see how he’d changed, taking care of Corbin, that wildness having been tempered some. She left him there, by the fire as the others drank and smoked, talking about old times and life after that. He had a beer and was just quietly watching the crowd, wondering he could get help from this group or not.~

-Corbin watched his brother throughout the trip seeing the tension. He knew for Hawk not having Em close by stung, hell, he'd gone through the same when Colt had left him, and he knew there was a certain amount of pain to it that he wouldn't be able to help with. He wondered when all of them would be together gain, suddenly the whole pack was disbanded, and he wasn't sure all of them would find their way home again. He leaned back with Colt relaxing into the wolf and smiling as they joked. Mostly they kept driving and stayed focus until they closer and Corbin snorted ... - Fucking relax ... and stop yelling jesus chris it's like you're on your period ... -He left Hawk go and see who was home. It had been a long time since they'd been here and he wasn't so sure they would be welcome. Family was family but still. He leaned in Colt staring at the teepee and smiling .. - Careful around grandmother ... she has this wooden fucking spoon I swear she carries around and one good smack hurts like a bitch ... -When Hawk motioned them in closer Corbin followed before he was hugged suddenly. He tensed before smiling easily hugging his mother back and nuzzling into her. He felt the emptiness in his heart filling up a bit. He'd not realized how much he'd missed her since they had left. Before she'd been smothering and Corbin wanted to be all independent, but now after all the shit, he kinda missed having someone to look after him. They slipped inside and when their grandmother appeared Corbin gave Colt a sideways glance as if to say "seee ... she's a mean old bat". Course he didn't say it out loud. He wasn't stupid. When the others came the group absorbed Colt and Corbin easily as they told their stories and drank and talked. Hawk was off by himself when another coyote dropped down by the fire near him. Jackal brushed the short dark hair from his face. He had what looked like a tooth as an earring and dog tags round his throat that looked authentic. The coyote leaned back near the fire with a beer offering one to Hawk ... - I didn't think you and your brother would ever come home ... -Jack had been just a bit younger than Hawk. Wild but tempered by a good nature and good humor the way the two boys never had been. The reservation had remained his life, he'd never left, and he envied Hawk and Corbin leaving but at the same time he knew his place. He took a deep drink of the beer glancing at the group before looking back at Hawk ... - You're brother is the same shitty loudmoth he always was .... I thought if anyone could beat sense into him it'd be you ... -He half smirked a bit before it faded slightly. Those deep grey orbs held a certain humor to them but there was honesty. The coyote seemed more to wear his emotions on his sleeves ... as if he thought you were an idiot he'd tell you to your face and not blink- Attachments:

~Hawk's eyes leveled on Jackal as he sat down next to him. He studied him for a moment. He had been even younger than Corbin and it was hard for Hawk to recall the grown coyote before him from the little boy he'd been when he'd left. But after a moment, brow furrowed and the boy spoke, Hawk realized who he was. He had an older sister who had been a super big bitch, or well Hawk perceived it that way, being he and she had dated a bit before he'd left. It didn't help he'd slept with her and then hadn't paid much attention to her at all after that.~ Jackal? ~Hawk's brow arched and he gave a little smile and then the smile fell a bit as he leaned into the smaller coyote.~ You keep talkin shit 'bout my little brother and you'll see just how it feels to get some sense beat into you. ~His head had dipped a bit but then he smiled at the end of the threat, though Jack had to know that though he was smiling now, the threat was very real. Hawk took a deep swig off his beer and leaned back, his arm hooking over the back of the chair as he looked Jackal over.~ And he ain't the same at all, your coyote, you gotta see that's a mask. ~Hawk was eying Jack for a good while, sizing the younger coyote up. And then he leaned in.~ And what makes you think we've come home? Maybe just passing through, decided to see family. ~Course it was all the gossip through the whole Res that Corbin and Hawk were home and that they had some wolf with them. It was also whispered that they were there with some agenda, what, no one really knew, but that hadn't just come home to visit, that was for sure.~

-Jack smirked when the coyote finally remembered him … -
Bingo …
-He teased a bit before the coyote leaned into him and growled those menacing little words. Jack leaned right back in and he’d grown beautiful, wild but beautiful. Those grey eyes stared up without fear … -
Yeah … well I’ll get my sis to kick your ass …
-Jackal spoke the words honestly before he laughed a bit and leaned back taking another swig from the beer. He knew Hawk was serious, the older coyote had always protected the younger one and truth be told Jack had always had a bit of a crush on him. He doubted Hawk would ever give him the time of day but it was good to see him home again, even for a little bit. He shrugged glancing back at Corbin-
I see he’s got a wolf with him he stays real close to you … and I see your mask …
-He spoke quietly before Hawk leaned in … -
Cause I ain’t stupid and it’s all anyone has talked about since you stepped back on the Res. I didn’t think you’d ever come home after you left and you sure as fuck didn’t come home now to see family …
-He’d spoke the first part looking off a moment before he looked back at Hawk-
I don’t care … I’m just glad you’re home … for however long …

Can't fight your own battles, gotta hide behind a skirt?
~Hawk countered. The beer was dangling from his fingers and he swirled it around before taking another big swig. His eyes left Jack and moved to settle on Corbin and Colt who were animatedly telling some story to an enrapt audience.~
Yeah.. that's Colt. He and Cor are... close.
~When Jack said he saw Hawk's mask too, the bigger coyote's eyes danced back to Jack and he gave that half mischievous smile. He leaned in then.~
Yeah? Do you now?
~He sat back when the boy said he hadn't expected them to ever come back and then he added the last bit on. Hawk's head cocked and then he pushed up. He shook his beer bottle, showing it was empty.~
Gonna get another one, want one?
~He nodded for Jack to come with him. They passed the coolers though, entering the cool house where Hawk went to the fridge and plucked a beer from the inside, handing it off to Jack before getting one of his own. He cracked open the bottles and then lead the coyote out to the front porch. He dropped onto the swing out there, away from the crowd and prying ears and eyes.~
We weren't going to come back, ever, to be honest. When we left with my pops, I figured I'd never look back.
~He shrugged when he said that, taking another swig off the new beer and then he went on.~
But you're only partially right... We didn't come home just to see family, but we did come to see them... So why you so happy for me to come back?
~Those golden eyes flickered over the coyote again, sizing him up. He liked that the boy wasn't all closed off like Em. It was easier to read him and he felt he had a little more control. With Em, he hardly ever felt he was in control of anything. Em had his own way of doing things and they rarely involved talking about doing them. Hell, it'd been pulling teeth back when they'd fought about Noah. So this was refreshing.~

-Jackal laughed a bit and it was full of mirth … - You learn that from the wolf? I never fight to play fair … I fight to win … and she’s scarier than I am … -He shrugged without any apology. He didn’t care to show off how tough he was or put on a show, it wasn’t his nature and it wasn’t how coyotes did things anyway. He watched the stunning coyote enrapt whenever he leaned in a bit. He was stunning. Truth was he’d always had a bit of a crush on Hawk but all that was dreaming and not much else. Hawk liked girls … right?- Really?-He seemed surprised when Hawk admitted that Colt and Corbin were together. It wasn’t forbidden but it wasn’t looked highly upon either. He leaned in when Hawk did before blinking away any desire to get in closer when the coyote asked if he wanted a beer. He nodded and got up following him outside. He sat with the coyote in the cool night air relaxing as he nodded … - That was the look you had in your face … you know … I wanted to go with you … to leave … mum would have broken by legs before she let it happen though … -He arched a brow slowly … - Why do you need to see them? You in trouble?-The coyote shrugged and looked off …- Cause I always liked you … you asshole … even if you never cared whether I existed or not. You know how boring it can get around here … Attachments:

~Hawk was watching the boy next to him. He has grown into this stunning coyote. Before he'd just been some kid trying to tag along. And Hawk was honestly to wild to really every notice much of anyone. He had Cor tagging along and that seemed more than enough.~ Yeah? You were just a kid then, Jack. Hell, so was Cor, I wasn't much less than one. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but it might not have been so smart in hind sight. ~He shrugged as he admitted the truth about how is life had been kind of not what he'd thought it was going to be. But he laughed at the last, sort of letting the questions go at first.~ I knew you existed. ~He shifted so he was sort of facing Jack and then he leaned in, closer than he had been. The hand holding the beer lifted and his finger tapped the tooth sticking out of Jack's ear.~ But you were a kid.... bratty and annoying... ~He teased, playful again. It was kind of nice to let go of some of the tension and worry and the feeling of responsibility.~ You haven't ever left? I can't imagine staying in one place forever, I'd have lost my mind... ~He was still leaning in close, his head dipped down just a little bit. There was that crooked smirk on his lips as he was staring at Jack. There was an intensity that was crackling between them. And then he smiled slowly.~ Trouble follows me and Cor, I thought you were a smart coyote.... ~It was all teasing though, and Jack had to question if Hawk wasn't flirting with him. He'd kinda let Corbin and Colt relationship go for now, not really commenting on it. But that might be because his focus was on Jack, intensely so.~

-Jackal shrugged when he’d been called a kid focusing more much on the next part. He wondered what Hawk had been through out there, whatever it was, it couldn’t have been good if he’d come back needing help from the elders. He frowned a bit tilting his head down as he looked at the ground … -
Maybe not … but eventually you gotta do the not so smart thing or you do go crazy …
-His eyes snapped up when the coyote toyed with his earing. Jack almost blushed a bit but he was smirking instead staring intently at the stunning coyote in front of him. He snorted when he was called bratty … -
Compared to your brother I was a joy to be with …
-When he dipped in the coyote felt his heart speeding a million miles a minute. He leaned in closer laughing just a bit … -
I never said I was smart …
-His hand slid up Hawks’ arm draping around his neck a bit as he leaned in even closer. He could feel the electricity and all he wanted was to kiss the stunning coyote. Maybe he’d get punched in the face but fuck, he’d not told a lie, he wasn’t smart, and that was about the last thought he had before he claimed the coyote’s lips just ever so slightly, intimately, but full of questioning as if he wasn’t sure if he was about to be punched or not… -

Sometimes... you just gotta give in... say what the fuck...
~Hawk almost seemed to be purring at him. He flickered a smirk and shrugged.~
You do have a point. But you were still a brat.
~And then the coyote seemed to blush. In the next moment he was pressed in closer and kissing Hawk. Hawk couldn't help the smile, as his arm slipped around Jack's waist as he tugged the coyote in closer. He deepened the kiss, growling into the coyote as his other hand snaked through his hair. There was no punch that came. And after a few moments of that rough kiss, Hawk pulled back some. He licked his lips.~
Well, maybe I am glad that I did come home...
~He growled those words. He sat back, but his hand reached out and he tugged Jack into his lap, moving the boy in a way so he was straddling Hawk. His hand was on Jack's hip, his thumb dusting the coyote's hipbone as his other hand drug across Jack's neck and tugged him back down into another rough kiss.~

So am I …
-The coyote whispered as he straddled the bigger boy beneath him falling back into the rough kiss. It was better than he’d imagine and all he could think of was tugging Hawk back to his room. He knew it was stupid but he was light headed from the kiss. A sigh escaped his lips before he finally pulled back coming up for air with a smile … -
I was sure you were gonna punch me in the face … still worth I shot …
-He teased a bit his fingers running through Hawk’s hair … -
So you gonna tell me why you’re here or you’re gonna keep avoiding the question?
-Jack arched a brow but he was staring down pressing him a bit but his hands were still toying through his hair and caressing up and down his chest. He had a good idea if anyone caught them like this it would be bad but he didn’t care in the moment. He had been going crazy alone and finally a life preservative had been tossed out to him and he wasn’t gonna let it go-

Why would I punch you?
~Hawk smirked a bit as he kept his hands toying along Jack's frame. But then he asked that question and Hawk sighed.~
We need help with some vampires. I've started running with a pack of wolves, cats and foxes, don't ask, and they have a few vampires with them. These vampires are different. And three of them have been kidnapped by a fucking mess of a prick named Jean Luc from Paris. We need to get them back, and we need to kill him. And we need help with that.
~Shrugging a little bit he said it casually. Then he sighed wearily. Jack got the impression that there was so much more than what Hawk was saying. Infact, he was just glossing over the whole mess, but Jack had to know full on that there was a much bigger story to all this than that.~
Do you really want to talk about why I'm here? Or you wanna take me to some dark spot where we don't have to talk anymore...
~He growled those words in the smaller Coyote's ear. He wanted the boy before him. And it was more than just being horny. It was also that with Jack it was nice to have someone fawn over him a bit, that the younger wanted to be with him and Hawk's charms were returned. With Em, well there was always confusion, wondering if he was doing the right thing to woe the vampire. It was an enigma, a puzzle that he couldn't figure out on his own.~

-Jack listened to him talk, his eyes widening like two great big saucers. Vampires and cats and foxes? What the fuck was he running with, a circus? Still, the thought mesmerized him and he knew he was already longing to go with Hawk once the threesome left. He was so tired of the reservation, the same bullshit over and over again. He shook his head slowly … -
You really are nuts …
-Jackal teased the coyote a bit before he blushed a bit at those next words. He leaned in claiming the coyote’s lips again before he slid off his lap and tugged him along back to his friend’s house, he knew the boy was gone for a week and he’d let him sleep there just for his own space and privacy. Fishing out the key from under one of the potted plants he opened the door and slipped towards the bedroom before he turned claiming the coyote’s lips again and tugging at his clothes. There were no words after that, no more talking, not much of anything else really. Jackal sighed and moaned unable to believe he had Hawk with him, in a bed, all to himself. Nothing could be better. As for Hawk he got a warm body, being with a shifter again was good, and pretty boy obviously wanted him and adored every moment and was not shy about expressing it. Most of the night was spent that way and when they were both satisfied Jack was buried into the crook of his arm already yawning and half asleep content to be there and terrified the coyote was gonna get up and leave him-

~Laying in the bed with Jack, satisfied and tired from such a long drive, Hawk just shifted against the boy, tugged him closer and buried against him, falling into an easy sleep. And Jack could relax as well, as the big coyote didn't seem to be going anywhere fast. And Hawk, for his part, slept like a rock. He was safe, home and to worn to dream.~
~As the morning sun peaked through the windows, Jack would wake to find Hawk sitting on the edge of the bed, phone in hand, texting someone. He rubbed his hand over his face before he tossed the phone down. Sighing, Hawk turned to look at the boy.~
hey....
~His voice was raspy from the night before and obviously just waking up, but there was a slight smile on his lips.~
I have to go before the tribal council today. How fucking excited am I?
~He sort of dreaded that. He knew that he had to just to get their help, but he also knew they were going to be questioning him alot. He pushed up then slowly, grabbing his jeans and tugging them on. Hawk's eyes flickered around the room, looking for his shirt. Once finding it, he moved to tug on his shoes, sitting back on the bed as he did. Once he was dressed, he turned, leaning in and pinning Jack down on the bed.~
So I'm gonna go over and find Cor and Colt. And if all goes well, we should be able to celebrate tonight.... you gonna celebrate with me?
~He purred the words. It was just easy with Jack. There wasn't like a whole effort of trying to figure out what he was suppose to do and if Em was going to do his own thing or not.~

-Jackal shifted feeling emptiness beside him. He frowned without opening his eyes knowing he was alone before the scent of another hit him. He smiled when he saw Hawk was still there. He grinned laying on the bed stunning and looking well worn … -
On a scale of 1 to 10? I think a solid 9 …
-He teased the coyote knowing he was nervous and knowing it would suck, it always sucked. Once he was pinned he wrapped an arm lazily around the coyote’s neck staring up at him as he tugged him down a bit closer claiming his lips sweetly … -
Yeah … I do …
-He smiled a bit happy to be invited and not left in the dust. He tugged the coyote in another kiss that lasted a bit longer before he let him go staring up … -
Just keep calm … you know how they are … if you stay patient you’ll get what you need …
-When Hawk got up the boy stared up after him … -
Oh Hawk …
-He seemed to want to say something before he shook his head … -
It’s ok I’ll tell you tonight …
-He watched the coyote leave as he dropped back on the bed letting out a breath. He stared up at the ceiling wondering if the coyote would consider taking him with him once he left. It’d be perfect. He could get out of this dead end road and all he could think about was the night before and how perfect it had been and he knew he was kinda smitten … -

Oh thanks wise one, I'll keep that in mind...
~Hawk teased the little coyote, but he was pulling back. Turning, his eyes flickered over to Jack as he called his name.~
Yeah?
~But then he told him never mind and Hawk just shrugged. He tossed Jack that easy half smirk.~
Later...
~Leaving the house, Hawk made his way towards his Mother's house. He had to get Hawk and Colt as well. But as he walked, his mind drifted to Em. He picked up his phone and called the vampire. He needed to hear the vampires voice. Did he feel guilty about the younger coyote and for cheating on Em? No, not really. It was just sort of his nature. He liked Jack, with the boy it was easy. But it didn't mean that he didn't love Em. He did, the vampire had a hold on the coyote that he couldn't explain. So even now he wanted to make sure that Em was alright, that he had made it to Paris easily and was safe.~
