-Physical abilities/limitations: Scout is very good at talking his way in and out of messes, he's a good storyteller, able to keep the crowds interest. He's taken to playing the bass and singing some, which he seems just as at home with. He's not very good with computers or technical things like that, living on the streets leaves one crippled that way.
-Background:
Scout never knew his real father, his mother simply having a one night stand with this South African stranger that swept her off her feet. But it didn't seem to matter, he was raised by his mother and grandparents who treated him like gold. This was the happiest time of Scouts young life. But at the age of 10, Scout's grandfather became ill. His mother found a boyfriend who was willing to step in as man of the house and while the old man was alive, he treated Scout and his mother like gold. But when the man died, the only one who Scout had ever looked up to, everything changed.
His grandmother stopped getting out of the bed really, letting herself wither away every day. His mother became caustic and mean and his step father simply became abusive. Scout tried to run for the first time at 12, thinking anything had to be better. Plus he knew he was feeling restless and angry all the time as well. But each time he ran, he was caught and sent home, sometimes to Juvenile facilities first, and then home, but none the less, always back to his personal hell.
At 14 everything changed. He was home, his mother picking a fight with him and he was doing his best to escape it, but then his step father intervened and the abuse became more physical. Scout couldn't control himself and he found his vision tunneling in and turning bloody red. When it was over, Scout was sitting in a pool of blood, his stepfathers, shocked face looking up, his head at an odd angle and his throat ripped out. The scream from his mother snapped him out of the insane feeling he was having. He knew there was no going back now, so he simply just sat there and waited for the police to come and take him away.
Luck was on his side though, for the cops that showed up were both Garou and recognized the scene before their eyes. They took the boy with them and then took him to the Sept and to the Theurge elder. But when the Theurge went about trying to find out what tribe and Auspice he was, he was giving a slight shock. This boy was no Garou, he was Ajaba. But the Theurge felt sorry for the Africa's lost son and took him in. But things weren't good there either for Scout. He was so different from the others that most at best gave a wide birth, other's sought to torment him. He learned what he could and then he left again, running to find something better.
Since then, Scout's been living on the street, doing whatever it takes to survive. He's sold drugs, stolen, and robbed stores and even sold himself. Which lead him to falling in with a twisted dark Setite who was lost in corruption. He was so far gone or maybe he just didn't care when Scout started skimming off the top of his profits. It wasn't until a big spender rolled into town that things went to shit. The money the man threw around was enough to set Scout up for a while, so he drugged the man and while he slept, Scout took everything. Pawning the jewelry and getting what he could with the credit cards, he left town. Ofcourse when the man woke and found everything gone, he freaked. Blaming the Setite for everything, the man promised to make things more difficult for the Vampire now. The enraged leech could only see Scout's death in his eyes. Since that night, Scout's been on the run, looking for safety and shelter and hoping not to run into those dark snake like eyes.
