~After the plan was made, Kit went to school and searched out Nicky. Ofcourse the boy wasn't hard to find and Kit bravely walked right up to him before class in the hall. Some of Nicky's friends moved to surround Kit and the boy's brow arched.~

Tell them to fuck off....

~His head cocked as he waited for Nicky to send his friends away. When he finally did, Kit leaned against the lockers. He looked Nicky up and down for a second and then spoke, his voice soft but cool.~

Okay... we meet at the Sonic, Friday night.... You can meet Ponyboy then... That's their deal...

~He shrugged waiting for Nicky to agree. And ofcourse he could say no, say he wanted to go to their house, but Kit would simply shake his head.~

It's this way or no way...

~He pushed off the locker and moved around Nicky.~

Friday night... see ya there...

~Kit walked down the hall towards class ignoring the looks at some of the kids that were staring his way. Some with a bit of awe for having walked up to Nicky that way, and some in disgust for him having talked to Nicky at all.~

~So when Friday night came Kit Went to the house with Possum and Gabriel. He sat on the sofa as the others hung out and talked. But finally it was time to go, so he climbed into the back of Joe's GTO and drove down to the strip. They pulled into the parking lot pf the Sonic were there were tons of kids hanging around. This was one of the few places that it didn't matter who you were. All the kids hung out here, or they cruised the parking long, looking for friends or people they new. They jumped in and out of one another's car, trying to find anything to do in this small town.~

~They climbed out of the car and Kit moved to sit on the trunk with Pony and Possum. He felt for a moment like he was with some elite group. Soda was leaning on the side of the car, Gabriel between him and Possum and Darry and Joe were on the other side, leaning there, smoking and looking like some dangerously stunning hoods that could kill someone just as easily as smile at them. Kit felt special when he was with them, like he could do anything and no one, not one soul would touch him.~

I swear to God, look at them all staring...

~Possum's voice rolled with a purr. He grinned though. Most of those passing by were staring mostly as Soda who was leaned there, smoking a cigarette and looking like some fucking movie star or model. He passed the smoke to Gabriel with a smirk and then leaned back looking like some demi-god just waiting for someone to bow down to him. Some of the girls from the high school passed and giggled when Soda flashed them that wild crazy smile. He leaned into Gabriel whispering something into the boys ear with a smirk but then straightened up. Kit noticed how there was something feral about them all, that they exuded this sort of energy that screamed they were predators. But everyone of them was beautiful, so it was disarming to watch them.~

~Kit's brow arched as the girl's giggled and then he just shook his head. It was then that Nicky's car pull into the parking lot. Kit leaned back looking just as cool as the boys he was sitting with, looking like he belonged there with them. It was probably the first time since Nicky had started harassing the boy that he'd notice he wasn't looking like some target. Instead Kit looked good, leaning on the back of the trunk like he belonged with this group. Like he could beat the shit out of someone if he wanted too. It would also be the first time that Nicky would feel how Kit felt, being surrounded by people that didn't necessarily want him there.~

-Nicky hadn’t exactly liked the meeting place. All out in the open but he didn’t have much of a fucking choice. Well he did. But it seemed easier for a moment to just follow their way for now and besides part of him, a small part, knew it was better he meet them out in the open and in front of others. So that was that. He agreed and Friday night rolled around … -

-Pony relaxed on the back of the car. He was staring up at the sky not even seeming to notice all the people watching them. Those dreamy eyes in another world far far away. He shifted his head a bit and smiled up at Possum reaching out and letting his fingers toy through his hair for a moment before he pushed up a bit and smiled at Joe. They’d all fed more than enough to make being out in the open like this easier. Pony still couldn’t touch Kit and sometimes Possum saw him almost wanting too but stopping himself for fear of what might happen … -

They staring at Soda … cause he playing it up …

-Pony purred the words at Possum but threw Soda a little teasing smile. Things had gotten a bit better between them. There was still that strange tension. An undercurrent of irritation and maybe lust. Either way they were both ignoring it and trying to accept that for now both of them were with someone the other hated. Gabriel grinned lighting up a cigarette. He’d gotten in the habit to smoking more around Soda but that was mostly for the vampires sake. The smell drowned out his own scent … -

Now come on Pony … they could be lookin’ at me … I’m cute …

-He teased and than the smirk widened as Soda leaned in and whispered some secret little joke between them. Gabriel looked at up at Possum and smiled a little bit. On the other side Darry and Joe was leaning back against the car. There was a bit more distance between them. Both smoking. Both talking about cars until Kit spoke those words. Nicky drove up in a nice fucking little car. He had no one else with him. He knew the rest of his friends would be around but he hadn’t told them he was coming for a reason. His clothes were nice and well he looked fucking good for a human. Gabriel’s brow arched. He knew the boy of course. Pony had met him once before when he’d kicked his ass. Nicky felt his breath stolen for a second. All of them were so fucking good looking, so fucking perfect, but there was something about them that made his blood run cold too. He moved in a bit closer and up towards Kit … -

Hey …

-Nicky stared across at Kit taking the boy in for a second and for the first time he noticed he didn’t look like some scared little boy. He looked older somehow. Tougher. Stronger. Fucking good looking too. His brow arched a bit as he light up a cigarette easily. He felt a chill but he was used to being watched and used to being in these kind of situations. Well. Sort of anyway. Pony pushed up a little bit crossing his arms. He was close to Kit feeling suddenly protective … -

So watcha want …

-Nicky shrugged a bit. His head dipped and maybe he was some rich spoiled brat but those green eyes were intelligent. He knew something was up. He could see it looking at them. There was something about that screamed wrong to him and he didn’t know why … -

I wanna know how you dented my car …

-Pony shrugged leaning on Possum smiling a bit … -

With you … look only reason I agreed to come out here was to tell you to stay away from Kit and leave him alone. He’s with us now … you mess with him … you mess with us …

-Nicky’s brow arched as he took a hit from a cigarette … -

~Kit nodded to Nicky as he approached but his eyes shifted to Pony as the boy said Kit was with them and Nicky had best leave him alone. He gave a slight smile at that and felt Possum nudge him. Kit hadn't ever much felt like he belonged, but here, with them, he belonged. But Nicky's response to Pony, well that wasn't maybe the smartest thing. The moment he said them, Darry and Joe seemed to appear behind Pony and Soda was suddenly near as well.~

Big words for a kid that beat the shit outta you... next time it won't end so nice for you....

~Joe's voice was a growl as he spoke and the wolf in him rose up, smelling prey. He looked intimidating then, his hackles rising a bit as he glared at Nicky. Darry would see the wolf looking like he might pounce, but it wasn't something he had to hold Joe back from, the wolf was in control. But fuck he looked good doing it. Standing there coolly tuff and definitely dangerous. Soda smirked but there was a coolness to it as he slung his arm around Pony. Where Joe and Darry looked like hoods ready to strike, Soda had that Greek God effect, but it was intimidating, like being in the presence of Achilles or Hercules. When he spoke, his voice was honeyed and there was no doubt that he could get anyone he wanted in this place, boy or girl.~

Don't let his size fool ya... and he ain't no kid... So if I was you, I'd take his advice and leave Kit alone...

~Possum had slid off the car, Gabriel on one side of him and Kit on the other. He moved in then, his head cocked. Possum and Nicky had just as many run ins as Kit and Nicky, the only difference was now, well Possum wasn't just some weak kid anymore. He'd managed to beat the whole fuck out of one of Nicky's boys so bad that the kid ended up in the hospital with a broke arm, stitches and a concussion. It had happened simply cause the fucker was picking on Gabriel. Not many of them messed with Possum after that. Instead, it was easier to pick on others, like Kit, who didn't seem like they could fight them all and possibly beat all their asses. Though for Nicky, Possum and he had something of a little truce. More like, they both knew that at one point in time they'd been friends, and now they didn't fight each other because of that friendship. But Possum was done with that. Nicky was threatening not only his cousin, but everything that made sense to Possum and were he belonged.~

Sup, Nicky.... Listen... i told you last time, I catch you beaten on Kit again and I'm gonna personally make the next few years of your life painful. So stay away from him.

~Kit kinda frowned cause he knew that on some level this was only making things worse. It was also drawing a crowd. Nicky's friends having seen this started making their way over. He didn't know what Nicky had expected but he knew it wasn't this. And a twinge of guilt crept through him. Which his brain was screaming at him saying he was stupid. Wasn't this what Nicky did ever single day to him? So why feel guilt for it? But Kit just wasn't a mean kid at heart and it kinda bothered him to be the one bullying someone. And maybe a small part of Kit knew that there was no way ever that Nicky could defend himself against this group. That any one of them could kill Nicky save for him... and maybe Gabriel. Though he kinda though Gabriel was fucked up enough to kill as well.~

Or what … next time you’ll kill me and bury me somewhere … yeah like that won’t cause you more shit … you’re obviously involved in something weird … Kit didn’t want cops at your place … so don’t fucking threaten me …

-Nicky growled as he stared at Joe. He didn’t like being talked to like he was some idiot off the street. He fucking knew something was going on. He wasn’t the biggest kid but Pony was a wallflower compared to him and he’d managed to toss him like he was nothing. Still even as he growled at Joe he felt a chill as he stared down the wolf. He could feel himself almost take a step back but he forced him to just avert Joe’s gaze a bit … -

-Darry didn’t say anything but he half smirked watching Joe. All part of him could think was tugging the wolf in some dark corner and having him. For right now he just stood there looking like maybe he’d just gotten out of prison. Darry wasn’t all that bad himself, he didn’t have Gabriel’s darkness, but in his neighborhood you either looked mean or you got your ass kicked. It was that simple. He’d learned to look mean and his very presence was enough at the moment to intimidate Nicky some. Pony had smiled a bit as well when Soda said he wasn’t no kid. He knew that part of that speech was more for him than for Nicky and he appreciated it but he still couldn’t shake the feeling that Soda would always just see him as a friend so what was the point? He had Possum now anyway … -

Yeah Possum … you will huh …

-Nicky’s brow arched. He light up a cigarette slowly and sighed. Fuck. This was going bad. He’d just wanted to talk and they’d jumped him. It only proved his point to Kit. What the fuck was the point in trying to talk to the other side. They were both from two different worlds and that was it. Neither side would ever see the truth. He shook his head … -

Hey Nicky …

-Some of his friends had come over trying to look tough and for a moment the place had gone a bit quiet watching the two groups meet. Most watched with baited breath to see if a fight was about to happen. Nicky felt his friends or rather lackeys come close and he felt a still chill of sadness. Still what did he think would happen coming here. That maybe he’d find something, some distraction, some freedom, anything but his life that was killing him. He looked at Kit for a second and gave him a look like “fuck you, thanks”. He shrugged … -

Come on …

-He turned slowly, easily, moving with a certain grace. He slipped back towards his car and than moved towards the window to order some food. His friends were pestering him with questions before he just growled for them to leave him the fuck alone. Gabriel smirked enjoying watching Nicky walk away with his tail tucked between his legs. Him and his fucker friends had messed with him enough. He leaned into Soda purring a little bit … -

Well that was fun … Soda I think you guys should come to the school dance ...
