~The evening sky was a mass of purple's and pinks and the lightening bug were out in force doing the odd little twinkling dance. It seemed almost peaceful there up on the hill top where the old house rested. That was until a sting of curses came from under the hood of the old Mustang. Joe cut the engine and leaned back. The heat was stifling and they'd been working most of the day on it and still the stupid thing wasn't running 100%. His head lulled back, the wolf looking half dead sitting in the front of the Mustang. He dug around in his shirt and pulled out a smoke, lighting it up and taking a deep drag. He opened those blue eyes to see Darry moving out from under the hood, greasy and dirty and looking good enough that the wolf wanted to push the vampire to the ground and lick him from head to toe. He blew the smoke out and looked up at Darry came around to lean on the front door.~

Still leakin huh?

~Joe sighed and then he pushed out of the car, when he did there was hardly any space between him and Darry save for the car. Joe's head cocked and those blue eyes were flashing over the vampire with something other then just amusement. ~

Maybe we should just let it go for tonight, huh? We could go down to that creek, get cooled off, if you wanna?

~The smirk that teased the wolf's lips was suggestive. There always seemed to be a spark of sexual tension between the two or more precisely it seemed to always surround Joe. He didn't touch Darry and move into the Vampire, but it didn't matter. It was obvious what he was hintin at. He pushed Darry back a bit and slipped past him.~

We could hunt afterwards..... come on... the others are all busy with that Coyote and that kid... come on Darry... just me and you.

~He purred the words, trying to lure the Vampire to him, out with him. He knew once they were alone, well he could press him a bit more, make things harder for the vampire to deny and eventually he'd give in.~

-Darry almost kicked the car. Fucking piece of shit had to die on him and it was still pulling the same shit it had for years. He couldn’t let it go though. He’d be damned if he let it go and they didn’t exactly have the money to just be buying cars and since they were staying in one place stealing one wasn’t exactly a good idea either. Too much attention. Darry pulled back and ran his fingers through his hair smearing a bit more grase on his brow … -

Yeah … stupid piece of shit … I swear I’m gonna drag it to the junk yard myself and leave it there …

-He growled a bit but than Joe was suddenly a bit close and he had that smirk that made a faint growl of want escape Darry’s lips. He wished Joe would drop it but he also liked that he didn’t and the wolf smelled so fucking good right now. He smirked a bit despite himself leaning on the car … -

Maybe you should go on ahead … you need to cool off more than I do … wolf …

-He teased rarely calling him wolf. He knew what Joe wanted but Darry couldn’t just. He didn’t know. He couldn’t. In private yeah but in public and he was afraid once he let his guard down Joe would expect him to be like that in front of everyone else. He didn’t know what was the big deal. Fuck even Pony was almost making out with Possum on the couch nowadays. He smiled as he was pushed and than Joe was slipping past him … -

Fine … but all I’m doing is swimming and than hunting … got it …

-He growled the words at him even though even HE didn’t believe them … -

~Joe laughed as Darry said that all he was gonna do was swim and hunt. Joe found that fucking HILARIOUS. He shook his head and kept walking into the woods. It wasn't so much that Joe wanted Darry to be like Pony and Possum were, it wasn't even remotely like that. He just wanted the vampire to be okay with touching him, or just being with him even when they were alone. Not have the barrier and wall up all the time. But Joe was working on him, not willing to give up just yet.~

~So deeper into the woods they went until the came to the creek bed. The water pooled up in a spot leaving a little swimming hole that Joe had found a couple of days ago. He stopped on the edge and began to tug off his shirt. He knew Darry was behind him, he could smell him, feel him. A smirk played his lips as he moved just a bit slower on purpose so Darry would have to stare at him stripping. When he finished and lept into the water with a splash. Looking to the edge when he came up, he waited for Darry to follow suit.~

So... Let me ask ya somethin....

~He was sort of swimming around, not going really anywhere.~

Does it bother you... Pony and Possum? Ya know... I watch them and Soda and Gabriel and all I think is that Soda needs to come clean with Pony. They want each other so bad it's hurtin ME to watch them... We could leave if those too hooked up, ya know?

~He knew that on some level that would appeal to Darry, the leaving part. He smirked and then swam back some, letting the cold water wash away the dirt and grim from the day of working on that piece of shit car. He looked perfect out there, the sun fading fast and leaving the moon to dance over Joe. He was pale in the night and his dark hair was slicked back from his face, making his eyes, those bright blue orbs more prominent. Joe was all feral movements and grace, being a wolf suited him. He looked fine tonight for sure, like some wild jungle boy, having been raised by wolves and now, like Mowgli, he was like some untamable creature. But Darry had to know that on some level, he'd managed to fit the wolf with a collar. He could call Joe his and the wolf wouldn't' say a word about it. Infact, he got the impression that Joe would honestly like that.~

-The vampire felt a faint growl almost escape his throat at watching Joe strip down. He did look fucking good. God he’d never wanted anyone as bad before. He had found others attractive but he’d always been able to just keep the wall up but the wolf wouldn’t fucking let up and the way he moved drove him a bit crazy. He smirked shaking his head as he tugged off his own shirt. Darry was more cut but he’d always been that way. All he’d done his whole life was physical work. Working at the garage. Working on houses. Fighting. It was all he and Lucky ever did. He jumped into the water and sighed feeling it wash away the dirt … -

Pony and Possum? I don’t know … weird for me I guess … it was different when I was younger man … I mean now it’s cool and shit … than you got killed for that stuff …

-He sighed a bit trying a bit to explain why he was so uptight. He’d had those thoughts beaten into him and yeah it had been 50 years but it didn’t mean he could change over night and than Joe went on and his brow arched a bit as if Darry really didn’t see what was going on between Pony and Soda … -

Watcha mean? There ain’t nothin’ going on between them … they like brothers Joe … seriously … I know they act a bit weird around one another … but if nothings happened in 50 years it ain’t happening now … Soda watched Pony grow up and shit … I dunno …

-He frowned a bit and sighed pushing the dark hair from his face … -

We will have to leave eventually … I mean that Nicky kid … he’s just the beginning … we gonna attract attention eventually … something will happen … always does … or the coyotes will get fed up with us … I like Possum ya know … he cool … but I doubt he’d come with us … and Pony is gonna be depressed for another year like he was when Johnny … died …

-He sighed a bit. He didn’t see anything going on between Soda and Pony but Darry wasn’t good with subtle. He was good with things that were bright and clear, even so, he knew they’d have to go and he knew Pony and Soda would be pissed to leave behind this little life. He swam in a bit closer … -

So what about you wolf … how long you gonna tag along with us huh?

-He smirked a little bit at that flicking some water in his face. He had to admit he liked having Joe around. It was like Lucky was alive again. It felt good. Only this was almost better cause even though both him and Lucky felt stuff for one another neither one ever, ever, let down that wall. Joe was forcing him to let down his wall but he was scared to death that the moment he did Joe would just leave. He couldn’t lose another Lucky. It’d kill him … -

~Joe kinda knew why Darry didn't make things more public, but it didn't mean that Joe was going to give up. He was about to call Darry out on Soda and Pony, but he didn't, simply because Darry was moving closer and then he flicked water at him and asked that question.~

Why? You trying to get rid of me, Blood Sucker?

~He was teasing Darry for calling him Wolf like it was a bad thing. He knew Darry didn't mean it like that, but he also knew it was a joke. He slipped in suddenly closer, the sexual tension enough that it could have been cut with a knife.~

I'm staying for as long as you'll have me, Darry. I'm not leavin. I like being here, with Pony, Soda... and you, especially you.

~It was honest, the stone cold truth. There was no teasing and being subtle with Darry, so Joe found it easier to be blunt. And he was sort of blunt anyway, so it worked out. He moved in closer still, an arm going around Darry's shoulder. The vampire could feel how warm the wolf was, like a furnace on a cold night, just putting out heat.~

Don't you want me to stick around, Darry?

Yeah … for days … you should just won’t go away …

-Darry smirked as he growled those words but he was teasing back and than Joe spoke those honest words and worst he swamp in closer. He felt a shiver as the arm wrapped around his shoulder. He could feel the heat and it felt so fucking good. Moving in closer he felt his breath almost hitch … well .. if he still breathed anyway … but he didn’t … -

Especially me huh …

-He murmured faintly and than he leaned in a bit closer … -

I do … I hate how much I do … I’m afraid of how much I do …

-He felt a shudder creep up his spine before he tugged the wolf in closer and claimed his lips roughly stealing his breath. He heard a raspy moan escape his throat at the need that overwhelemed him. He wasn’t sure why he couldn’t control himself around this boy but he just couldn’t. It was strange. It was like he had no other will around him and he knew he needed him. He sighed as he pulled back from the kiss licking his lips … -

What do you want from me Joe … do you want something I can’t give … you know how I am …

-He frowned a bit worried what the wolf wanted … if it was public affection … well that’d be hard for Darry right now … hard maybe for a while. He brushed his fingers through that dark hair staring at the perfectly pale skin. They were both pale but he for a different reason .., -

~Joe fell into that kiss easily, his other arm wrapping around Darry's neck as he pulled into the vampire. He was spiraling out into space as the rough kiss called to the wolf. He growled into Darry wanting to pull him back to the edge of the water and just have him right there on the soft edge of the pooled water. But ofcourse Darry was asking questions and pulling back from him. Joe sighed and the pulled into Darry leaning into to kiss softly up his shoulder and neck.~

I'm not asking anything that you can't give Darry. I'm not asking you be all public like Possum and Pony... I don't care about that...

~Pulling back the wolf stared into those eyes that were slowly turning more gold.~

I just want you... And I know you want me just as bad... so why you fightin so hard to keep me at bay.

~He purred into the vampire's ear.~

You keep denyin yourself and you're gonna explode.

~There was an amused smirk in his tone though, trying to make Darry smile. He knew that the Vampire was having trouble with this, but Joe liked him too much to just give up. He nipped at Darry's neck, biting a bit roughly just to remind him just what he'd be giving up if he let Joe go.~

You ain’t fighting fair … and you know it ...

-Darry growled a little bit feeling his eyes shut and shiver creep up his spine like needles. It was hard thing to deny Joe when the wolf was kissing up his neck and shoulder and biting and growling. The heat wrapped around him and here was his own personal furnace and someone who asked so little and yet so much. He sighed pulling the wolf in closer … -

I’m gonna need some time …

-Darry sighed a little bit but he tugged Joe into him and claimed the wolf’s lips roughly. He knew if he took too long or pushed the wolf away too long he’d lose him and that’d be it. There would be no second chances for him but it was hard to just forget 50 years. He tugged the wolf in towards the edge of the water a bit and pushed him down crawling on top as he claimed his lips rougher. They hadn’t slept together since that one night at the hospital and Darry really did feel like he might explode … -

-From that point on there was no more talking. They just fell into one another. Darry being rougher than before both because he’d been fighting this need and simple because he knew Joe could take it. It was nice not to have to be gentle and he liked that Joe was just as rough. When it was over they were both covered in marks and bites. Well. Darry was covered in bites. He knew his bite was poisonous. When it was over he fell on his back and stared up at the night sky sighing content. He felt that release he needed. He felt a bit calmer … -

So how come you never found a pack of your own … like a wolf pack … don’t you miss having another wolf around … I guess Possum is a semi substitute right … coyote … wolf … still … it can’t be the same thing …

-His brow furrowed a little bit as he stared across at Joe. He was asking just to be talking though but part of him was worried that this wolf would find another wolf and they’d just fit in a way him and Joe never could. His brow arched with a half smirk played across his lips … -

… and if you couldn’t find your own pack … didn’t you ever get the need to like make your own … Ace I guess did that … he was an asshole and he only wanted us around for power … I think part of it was he was alone too … that’s why he bit me and Lucky …

-There was a tinge of pain whenever he said that name … -

Than he got Two-bit and Soda cause they were tuff … Pony just came part of the package … I sometimes think it’d be better if he hadn’t ever gotten bitten … he was going to college and stuff … book smart … Lucky worked at the garage and the construction company with me to save up money for him … but than I think … I dunno how Soda would have been without him …

~Joe had fallen easily into Darry. No he wasn't fighting fair, but that was the whole point. Fair fighting wasn't going to work if he wanted to get the vampire to let down his guard. But nothing mattered when he was wrapped up in the vampire's arms. He melted against the vampire, returning the roughness two fold.~

~He was laying there next to Darry, panting a little bit, on his back, his arm laying above his head. Glancing over at Darry, he shrugged.~

I never.... well I'm or I've always considered myself kinda a lone wolf. like all the packs I've been with, they have all these rules, I'm not good with rules... and I've never really found any other wolves who wanted to be in a pack without wanting to be alpha... I don't know, Darry... it's just not in me. But... being with you and the others feels... right...

~He rolled over on his side and propped his head up on his head, staring at the dark vampire.~

Yeah, I really think there is somethin between them. Pony stares at Soda like... I don't know.. he wants him so bad he can taste it, least he did before he met Possum... and now... now that Possum has Pony's attention, well Soda doesn't seem to happy about it.

~He shrugged.~

I know you don't see it, but sometimes I think it's cause you purposfuly turn a blind eye to those sorts of things...

~He nudged Darry some, flashing him a smirk. He pushed up, sitting, a long scratch mark down his spine. He was absoulutely stunning and beautiful. He looked over his shoulder, his hair a mess, still wet. He flickered a smile and then leaned down and kissed the Vampire roughly. Then he pushed up and grabbed his jeans, tugging them on.~
