-Immortality handed to you is one thing, a bite, a moment, and you are changed, new urges but the same basic you remains. You were a teacher before, not you're still a teacher, but you want to eat your students. When you die, go to hell, and rip yourself back to earth, well a whole new you emerges. Mitsuko stared at her reflection in the mirror, same dark eyes stared back at her, same soft black hair that was styled in that simple elegant cut. Sometimes, if he tried, she could still see the girl she used to be, young, quiet, easily manipulated and naive-
"That's not yoooouuuuu"
-She shivered at the darker voice in her subconcious. She gripped the sink tightly before drawing back her fist and smashing it into the mirror. It shattered, the numerous reflections laughing at her, mocking her, as she shook off her hand gazing down at the cuts that sealed themselves back up. She licked the blood from her knuckles as she moved back into the dingy hotel room. She slipped on the bed closing her eyes as she relaxed beside the dead body. His carved body lay at impossible angles, broken, twisted, never the same. She shivered placing her hands over her ears but the inner voice just laughed-
"You liked it ... his screams ... admit it ... turned you on ... you only wish he'd lived longer ... "
-She shook her head violently-
He was evil. I judged him ... he wanted to rape that girl ... he wanted to rape me ... he just didn't know what I was ... I removed a disease and fed ...
-The voice laughed again-
"You are the disease Suko ... you searched him out ... hoped he'd try to hurt you ... wanted him to tear you apart and when he couldn't ... when he was too weak you tore him apart. Excuses work with others .. not me ... I know you ... "
-When you're just bitten. You're the same basic you. But when you go to hell, you bring back a part of it with you, or maybe you don't come back, just it, that demon, wearing your skin and face and hands. She stretched out crawling on top of the boy leaning in to lap up the blood. She moved and it didn't take long for her to dispose of the body and cleanse the hotel room. She'd done it so often. She was careful. Nothing left behind. Darkness washed over her as she stood over the freshly dug grave tossing the shovel aside with distaste. She shuddered walking slowly, aimelessly, trying to focus her mind. To cage the demon and pretend once more she wasn't it, that she had control, and those baser instincts didn't tempt her, didn't turn her on, didn't make her sigh and moan and gave her reason to continue. Those deep dark eyes becoming icy cold, impenetrable, unreachable. No one knew of those weak moments, not even her family, she kept locked up so far down half the time she could pretend it didn't happen. She took off running, moving faster and faster and faster, but you can't outrun what you are can you. She was just too young to know that yet ... -
