~The sun was beating down, warm and perfect as Beau lay on the soft sandy shore of the river. His eyes were closed and all around him he could hear birds and squirrels and everything was perfect. A shadow fell over him and he opened his eyes and there was Devan staring down at him. He smiled but something was wrong. Devan's eyes were dark and lusterless. It took Beau a moment to figure out what the hell was wrong, but then he realized that Devan was dead. The moment he realized that everything changed. Devan was still standing, but the sun was no longer beating down on them. Infact it was suddenly cold, the birds were gone and it looked like it was going to rain. Beau pushed up, grabbing a hold of Devan, but the half breed did nothing but slump forward like a rag doll. The wind picked up and it felt like a tornado was coming. Beau was trying to pull Devan with him. He just knew that Gran could fix this. But it was like trying to push a marble statue. He couldn't get Devan to move, the body, though seemingly willing and ready to stand or sit, wouldn't budge. He was screaming at Devan, but he wouldn't move and then suddenly he was bleeding from his neck and his chest. Beau stumbled back, tripping. He stared up and watched Devan fall all on his own like a sack of flour. Behind him stood Sebastien. ~
~Beau's golden eyes fluttered open. He couldn't place were he was exactly. There was a roaring sound in his ear and he felt strange, a feeling he couldn't exactly place. He was sitting in a leather chair and there was another across an isle from him. Behind him was a heavy charcoal curtain and he could hear murmuring going on. There was a door in front of him, metal, heavy obviously. Suddenly it hit him, a flooding sickness as he realized he was in a plane. He pushed up the little curtain to look out the window. They were over the ocean, but all he could see was cloud. He closed his eyes. This was the first time he'd ever been on a plane and it wasn't with anyone he wanted to be with.~
Where the hell....
~In the back behind the curtain, Jane sat with Sebastien to her left and the other Volturi across from them. Her head tilted slightly to the left and she glanced over at Tien.~
It sounds as if your friend is awake. You should go and check on him....
~They had the ability to drug him and it had been made very clear that Tien wasn't to touch him other then to drug him. But it would be better if he was clear minded when presented to Aro. And after all, where was the boy going to go. They were in a plane on their way to Volture, Italy. He couldn't jump out of the plane, but he could try and run once on the ground, though that would be very stupid. They all knew that their return was precarious. Aro would not be pleased that they had not completed their mission that the wolf pack still lived. It wasn't going to be good. But on the other hand, they had Beau as this perfect gift. And it was a set back, but Aro would see where this would be beneficial to them all.~
