Heeeey Blaine……this is SO not what it looks like
~Cooper Kidd stood behind a large ornate desk, drawers open and papers strewn about. He was caught red handed, or so it seemed. There was a smirk, the kind a five year old gets when they get caught with their hand in the cookie jar playing across his lips. Dark hair feathered in bright blue eyes as he slowly straightened himself up and put on his most teasing pout. The creature before him was a fairly young vampire. He’d been bitten in the 80’s and seemed obsessed with staying there. But Cooper understood that even this vampire had some useful information. But lately, it felt like he’d been holding back and Cooper just couldn’t let that go.~
Then what the fuck are you doing in my private office, Coop?
~The anger in the vampire’s voice could almost be tasted. Cooper put on his char, scooting across the desk, trying to look contrite.~
Okay…. So it is what it looks like. But you’ve been holding out on me, being all secretive and shit. You know how I hate that…
~He was close now, his hand teasing up the vampire’s chest.~
Don’t be mean, Tell me, Blaine…. Please…
~The blonde’s hand snatched out, jerking Cooper closer as he nuzzled into the pretty boys neck with a growl. Cooper smiled though and wrapped an arm around the vampire’s neck as he arched into the cold creature. Coop knew he had to play this down, make it seem like it wasn’t that big of a deal. The thing was, Blaine really was a pretty low level informant. Coop knew he was young and not high enough up on the food chain to know anything of real value. But what he did know was contacts. Blaine reported to others who were of real importance and much more powerful. And Cooper had intentions of using Blaine to get in with these vampires who were more suited to what he needed.~
~That had all changed recently though, as Blaine had been spending more and more time in secret meetings with other blood suckers. Cooper had been in the vampire’s house for almost a month now and just in the past week, things had changed. And damn if Cooper didn’t want to know what exactly had changed so much that Blaine was unwilling to talk to him about it. It wasn’t that Coop thought he had any loyalty to the vampire or anything like that. It was more that he just was sure that the vampire couldn’t resist him enough to not tell him all his dirty little secrets. Of course, right at that moment, Cooper was way more interested in making Blaine forget that he was interested in anything that the vampire was doing at all.~
~Days passed and nothing still. Blaine had forgotten, or was willing to ignore what had happened. Cooper was no fool, he knew how vampires were, collectors, they accumulated people with talent like an art dealer with fine art. Cooper had to figure out a good plan and further more he had to bury the truth a bit, making the vampire forgive and forget. He pretended as if he were simply moving on with his life, like none of it really mattered. But in the back of his head, the wheels were turning, he was thinking, contemplating a plan.~
~A week had passed and Blaine had left Cooper alone again to go to one of his secret meetings. Cooper found himself alone in the big house, but when he went to the office, suddenly there was security on everything. He was pretty sure that there were camera’s set up as well. None of that was good. It compounded the problem. It of course suggested that Blaine wasn’t as stupid as Cooper was thinking. So now he was stuck again. But he was nothing if not clever.~
~As the vampire pulled into the drive of his large Miami house, he’d find it lit up and loud. There were cars everywhere and people everywhere. He got out of his car, annoyed and pushed through the throngs of the young and beautiful. It took him a little while to find Cooper, who was sitting outside on the patio by the pool, looking as stunning as ever. He was leaning back on a round lounge with a pretty blonde girl and a chestnut boy on either side of him. Blaine looked pissed, that is until Cooper crawled off the lounge and came to him, wrapping an arm around him.~
I was lonely… and I wanted to give you something. Look… aren’t they delicious? Come on… I know you are still angry with me. I want to make it up to you.
~Blaine was surprised for a moment and then he just smiled, kissing the pretty boy and moving to the lounge. Cooper stayed just long enough for Blaine to get good and drugged. Of course the two were completely wasted on pain killers and roofies. It worked like a charm. As the party raged, Cooper went upstairs to the office and began to work his magic. All the cameras would record was someone who looked a lot like Blaine entering his office and sitting down. After a few moments he would flip through folders and papers and then he would open a safe hidden in the wall under a painting.~
~When Blaine woke. Cooper was gone. His house was trashed, save for the office which still was locked and everything was in place. When he checked the tapes and saw himself, he couldn’t really remember what had taken place. But when he checked the safe, everything seemed to be there. But still Cooper was gone. He couldn’t understand really, save that the boy had seemed ready to make amends. Blaine could only assume that he’d done something to really piss the exquisite boy off. In fact, when he went into their room, all of Cooper’s things were gone, just gone. And not in a calm way, everything was tossed around as if Cooper were angry and in a rush.~
~Music was blaring as the brand new white charger tore down the freeway. It was a beautiful car, bright red stripes, chevron style stretched across the front of the car. The windows of the car were down, the music dancing on the wind. Cooper’s head leaned out the window for a moment, his sunglassed eyes hidden as he let the wind blow through his dark hair. He smiled wickedly, as he sang along with the music.~
3-2-1 We came to fuck
Everybody party till the gasman comes
Sparkle like Bowie in the morning sun
And get a parking violation on La Brea till it's done
Hair Back, collar up, jet black, so cool!
Sing it like the kids that are mean to you, c'mon
When you wanna be a movie star (c'mon!)
Play the game and take band real far (c'mon!)
Play it right and drive a Volvo car (c'mon!)
Pick a fight at an airport bar
The kids don't care if you're all right honey
Pills don't help but it sure it's funny
Gimmie gimmie some of that vampire money c'mon!
~He was screaming it out the window as he pushed the car even faster. He was rolling up from Miami, through Georgia, making his way towards Tennessee. It was then that the phone sitting in the console began to ring. Pulling his head back in, he rolled the window up before answering the phone.~
Yeah?
~He smirked a little as he heard the snarl in the voice on the other end.~
Is that how you talk to your elder? Don’t answer that. Where are you heading now? The information you got from that vampire is very interesting. We started doing some digging and it’s true. Some wolf pack near Chattanooga defeated the Volturi, not once but twice.
~Cooper listed as his teacher, mentor and older brother spoke.~
I’m almost in Macon. It’ll take me another four hours to get to Chattanooga…
~Cooper’s smile played over his lips as his brother confirmed that the information he’d found from Blaine was the truth.~
Then I guess I’m gonna go and find this pack and see just how they managed to do that little feat, right?
~He heard a chuckle~
Yep… you guessed it. Work your charm, little Chick….
~Cooper scoffed.~
Don’t call me that… and don’t worry, you should have faith in me by now. Have I ever let you down? Wait… don’t answer that.
~The two laughed then. He hung up the phone and pushed the pedal even harder to the floor. He knew that soon he’d be looking at this pack. And he had to admit that he was interested in them. They’d caused a rumble throughout the supernatural world. He doubted that they understood exactly what they had done. They’d made themselves celebrities on one hand and put a huge freaking target on their backs on the other. But Cooper was only there for information, after all, Hawks considered themselves to be the information gatherers. Infact, they felt that they knew more then any other shapeshifter out there.~
