~The night sky looked like plush velvet, dark deep blue smattered with bright twinkling lights. It was beautiful really, perfection. It was finally warm again, but the wind was blowing, dragging across the grass, through the trees and playing across the warm body of Jules. The wolf was in the front yard, a bit drunk, very stoned, moving with an easy grace. He spun, twirled, stopped and then moved again as the music drifted out from the house. Saia, Chase, Mickey, Jamie and Cash have been playing in the front room for most of the evening. Jules had been watching, as had the rest of the pack. Infact, the music had drawn out all of the pack as some point into the big room. Jules had wandered outside into the dark night. He was now moving, gracefully gliding through the yard as if on air.~
~Jules felt free here, more relaxed then he had in a long time. It was a slower pace of living, on that Jules had thought he couldn’t get used too. But now, after only being there for just a couple of days and he was thinking that maybe he could becomes used to this. Once he’d gotten over the initial shock and tension of surprising the pack, he’d found himself welcome into the happy, strange pack. They treated each other like a large, strangely adjusted family, happy to just have one another close.~
~Here, in this mountain setting, Jules didn’t feel the pressure to perform for the pack and for school. Here he could just dance, where ever he wanted. He could break into dance in the middle of the night out in the yard under a blanket of stars and no one cared. He didn’t even care if anyone was watching him. He was dancing now, fluid and brilliant. He wasn’t thinking of anything, just dancing. His relationship with Jamie or the fact that there were all these wolves and shapeshifters all of which were stunningly beautiful where all in the back drop of the perfection of being to dance without being judged. Out here in the night, the only light that from the indoors spilling down on him, giving him a ghostly appearance.~
~Inside the music had drawn a crowd. The rest of the pack had crept out of the wood work to watch and hang out together. Even Beau had come down to hang out. Misha had gotten up to get another beer as well as one for Sol. He stopped, staring out the window, watching the boy dance. He got a little elost in the movement for a moment. The music continued switching tempo as Jules choose his next steps to fall in with the music. Misha wasn’t really aware of the smile playing over his lips. It’d been a long time since Misha had smiled with that much serenity and calm happiness. With everything going on, both Sol and Misha had been stressed to breaking points.~
I promise, it’s fine….I’m save… Chase, Mickey and Saia aren’t going to let anything happen to me… No, I’m aware of their reputation… I’m not a baby… Jeez, mom… stop… I’ll be fine…
~Cash frowned as he hung up the phone, tossing it into the passenger’s seat. His mother was worried. She’d been doing some digging and had quickly heard the rumors surrounding the pack. She wasn’t happy about the fact her son was associating with such a notorious pack. She’d not been happy that her son was hanging out with a pack of wolves, much less THIS pack of wolves. But Cash didn’t honestly care. He trusted the pack, some of the others, the vampires, the vipers, they unnerved him, but not the shapeshifters. The cats were just annoying at best, but he felt safe with Chase, Saia and Mickey. Not to mention, he’d not found anyone with decent enough talent that he felt he could actually play in a band with. That was until meeting Chase.~
~Pulling up to the house, Cash got out only to find the other’s hanging out with a new owlf and coyote. He was soon introduced and they all fell into an easy rhythm of just talking and then sort of goofing off and playing video games. By night fall, they’d eaten and began playing in the living room on acoustic guiatars. Jamie had joined in as they sang together, slowly drawing out the rest of the pack. Even beau and Valen came down to listen. The moment the rat appeared, Cash found himself being a bit more showy. He was singing, the next song flowing off his lips and the music poured from his finger tips.~
Gravity
Don't mean too much to me
I'm who I've got to be
These pigs are after me, after you
Run away, like it was yesterday
And we could run away, if we could run away
Run away from here
I got a bulletproof heart
You got a hollow-point smile
Me and your runaway scars
Got a photograph dream on the getaway mile
Let's blow a hole in this town
Too much talking with a laser blade
Gunning out of this place in a bullet's embrace
Then we'll do it again
~Beau’s eyes narrowed as the pretty bird sung to Valen. The blonde was rigid for a moment and it was obvious to anyone who really knew him that Bria was in control at that moment. The Angel was becoming more and more possessive of the rat. Bria hadn’t had feelings like this before. They were sexless in Heaven. They felt love, but they didn’t understand the sexual side of it. Valen had opened a huge can of worms. The Angel was not used to these emotions and he was a little irrational about the way they made him feel. The fact that Cash was not only beautiful, but he was extremely talented and he was a shapeshifter did little to endear the crow to the Angel. But here he was singing to Valen, his Valen and it was pissing Bria off a little bit, more and more every single second the song went on.~
