But you’re wrong….Can’t you see that? Following HIM, it’s against everything we were created for. We are meant to serve our father’s word. Lucifer upsets the order!
~Bria’s words were pleading as he stared at the angel across from him. He knew this was a crossroad and everything he had always known was about to crumble. This scared him, an emotion he’d never felt before. This dark angel before him was his light, the one creature he loved more than anything save for the father. But Bria knew he wouldn’t defy God, it was something he couldn’t imagine doing. But this beautiful creature before him was about to break his heart. He knew it, felt it, it gnawed at his stomach.~
Please, don’t do this. You wound my heart….
~But the name was lost on him. His brain tried to remember, tired to pull it from the depths of the muddled darkness that was his memory. Infact he grew more frustrated and the whole scene changed. He could no longer make out the other’s face, it was now a blur. He watched the angel turn away from him. The sky darkened and there were screams and cries, wailing all around him. He turned his face towards heaven and was shocked at the black clouds and bloody sky as angel’s fell. It was war, a bloody scene and for a moment Bria was shocked. But then he felt the blow and he was on his chest on the ground. Turning, his wings, once the palest gold were now stained with blood. Over him was a dark creature, one that he didn’t recognize right away. It was shocking. Bria realized with a sickness that this was the same angel that he’d been pleading with. They were both in armor, both with weapons, but Bria was at the disadvantage here. He pushed up but a foot was planted in his back and pushing him back.~
NO!!! DON’T!!!
~But as he yelled, the blurry figure raised the sword up. Pain blossomed in his chest and he wanted to feel the steely pain of the sword. The pain from loosing this creature was worse then what that sword could do to him. He knew this was it, this was the end of everything he understood to be right and good.~
~He moaned, it escaped his lips like a breath and his body twitched. Suddenly he sat up, eyes open, heart pounding, taking deep raspy drags of breath. He was shaking as the remenants of the dream rolled through him. His eyes danced to Valen who was still asleep beside him. The angel stared at the rat for a good long time. Bria’s head cocked and then he pushed up. He slipped out the window and shimmed down the drainpipe. He was wearing nothing but a pair of white drawstring pants. He walked through the woods barefoot. By the time he got to Salem’s, the bottom of his pants were wet and muddy. He stared at the house for a moment before creeping up on the back porch. The door was unlocked. There was no real reason for them to lock it, there wasn’t that much that could harm them. As he padded through the kitchen and into the living room, he stopped briefly to look at Flint and Eli who were sitting together, wrapped up in one another. Flint looked up at him, but for once he didn’t say anything.~
~Bria moved as if he had a leash tethered to him. Up the stairs and to the door, inside Cass slept and for a moment Bria almost turned and left. But there was a pull, a draw that he couldn’t just let go of. He put his hand on the door knob and turned it. Stepping inside, he shut the door behind him. The Angel stared at the demon in the bed and for a moment it was just quiet, perfect stillness. But Cass would feel that presence. He would know Bria was there, feel it in his very core. The Angel had come to him, mostly naked through the dark night and the cold wet woods. And here he stood, like the sacrificial lamb, ready for the lion.~
