~Contrition wasn’t something Colt was known for, it wasn’t an emotion he had in his repertoire. But as he came into the cafeteria for lunch it would appear that he’d learned a new range of emotion. He looked beaten, his lip busted, his cheek swollen and a bruise swelling up under the skin. He kept his distance from any and all elves, his eyes were lowered and his head down. The smile that usually curled his lips was missing as well. Zillah would have to be proud with this amazing act that the human was pulling. As he passed the other humans, he didn’t even make eye contact with them. They all instantly began to whisper and talk about Colt. None had seen the boy ever look so broken before.~
~Dropping down by himself at a table, he ignored those around him. But the ego seemed bruised and dimmed. The normal light that was brilliantly shinning through wasn’t there. And honestly it was pissing Colt off. But he also had plans and those plans involved that wolf and making sure that for now Zillah was happy. The Prince, for all he was worth, did notice that the human looked beaten and punished. He pointed it out to Sigh and some of the others who all looked up and watched. Sigh’s eyes flickered around the room looking for Fenris not sure how the boy would react to this. But then he looked for the wolves that Lysander kept as his own personal elite guard. The ice elf turned his attention back to the human that had been caught. Colt remained in the seat for a little bit, long enough to push the food around but he seemed unable to really be able to eat. Finally he got up moved quickly and tossed the food in the trash and left the café. The Prince laughed as the human seemed to unnerved to stay there for long, retreating off out of the cafeteria.~
~Outside, Colt had moved with a nervous pace until he got far enough away. He straightened up and slowed his gait. It was like he’d washed off the fear and pain. It was just gone. Most of the rest of the students were in the café, so Colt could shake off the act. He brushed a hand through his pale blonde Mohawk. He was pretty sure it had worked. Now he had intentions of keeping a very low profile. He didn’t want the Prince’s attention and furthermore, he planned on keeping his distance from the wolf for a bit. He had no intention of working for the wolf. He was a thief after all, so he wasn’t exactly known for adhering to things pressed upon him. After all, he’d not given his word that he’d do these favors that the wolf so adamantly claimed he owed.~
~Moving through the courtyard, the boy slipped towards the wall. He had intention of just going out into the city. He had to go and meet with the thieves’ guild. He had told the leader about what had gone down and after getting smacked across the back of the head for getting caught, he’d been tugged in closer and things were discussed. The wolf was a good mark and the boy was giving license to make sure that the wolf not only was made good use off, but also that he’d learn exactly why he shouldn’t fuck with a thief. Colt wasn’t sure if the wolf was following him, or if he could get free of the Prince right away. He wasn’t sure he wanted Zillah to follow him. At the moment he’d played his part and that was all that was needed, right?~
