-Micah sat at the gambling table with the other wolves. He watched his cards carefully sucking the cancer stick with pleasure. There was music playing in the ground and growling noises as the variety of shifters prowled around. It was neutrul ground of sorts in the hive, fighting to a certain degree for forbidden, not that it meant much, animals fought when they got angry and a bunch of wolves were about to be angry at the stunning redhead cause he'd won his third hand of the night. He grinned pulling the chips in closer to him ... - Thank you gentlemen ... -A hand gripped his wrist roughly ... - You cheated you fucking rat ... -Micah bared his teeth as he tugged back his arm- First, you can't prove nothing, second, I don't need to cheat to win.-He eyed the bigger wolf staring him down with annoyance. It was brave and stupid but he had won and the money belonged to him. Maybe he wanted the rush he'd lost from being a certain cat. He missed him. He was too smart to think he could get him back, besides, he was almost certain that when Ez caught up with him he'd pay dearly for all of it. It wouldn't be a sweet kind of pain they shared before. Pain and pleasure. He was pretty sure the cat just meant to skin him alive, literally, and he'd survive the ordeal grow the skin back and have it done to him again. Being resilient wasn't a boon when someone wanted to make you suffer. He shook his head. He knew madness ran in the blood of his people to be in love with the person that intended to torture you ... well ... that was a new kind of crazy-

~The pack was back to normal, or so it seemed. Matches was back with Micah and for now they both seemed happy, well as happy as the two of them could be. Ilan was still around, but since he'd left with Ace, Matches had been in a bit of a funk. He knew that him and Ilan didn't belong together, he couldn't give Ilan what the wolf wanted, but it didn't mean that he was happy to see Ilan so entangled with another so quickly. Matches was used to having those around him smitten with him and in the end, when it was over, they were still lost in him, he'd just grown bored. He wasn't used to them getting over him so quickly.~
~He was laying in the bed waiting for Micah to come back, so being alone seemed to always cause him to drift down into some seriously deep thoughts. He was flicking the lighter back and forth. But there was one that sort of had his mind and that was that strange little cat that lived with Ez. Luther was an interesting creature, but he kept telling himself it was all about Michah. That he belonged to Micah. Course that was not the truth, but who was he to argue with himself at that moment. but as he began to think about Micah, he suddenly became aware that the rat wasn't there and that he should have been there a while ago. That made him nervous. Pushing up off the bed, he went in search of the rat.~
~For Ez's part, the cat was pissed. He wanted to take out his aggression on Micah and he'd put Luther on Matches to make that one suffer as well. But Micah was the real culprit. He was the one that had used Ez and that was a dangerous thing for a rat to do. It was dangerous for any rat to really do that to a cat, but it was worse for Micah being who Ez was. Murder wasn't even half of what he was thinking about and he could make Micah suffer, and suffer the rat would. But he knew not to act too soon, he knew that Micah would be expecting that. So he was waiting, keeping his ears out for what Micah was up to. So he knew where Micah was that night, knew what he was doing, but he wasn't so sure that even Micah knew what he was doing in that moment. As the wolves started to close in on Micah and the rat had to wonder if maybe this was going to end badly, a dark shadow would fall across them and Micah would see Ez slinking by his side. His head was down and the wolves all stopped in their spot. They stared for a moment and then Ez smiled.~
Rips.... how are things?
~The wolf looked the bastet over and then smirked.~
Things are fine... specially once I skin this rat...
~Ez smiled and took a step in closer to the wolf.~
Funny thing about that is... he's kinda protected... by me... and my family.... He's mine to skin....
~The wolf bristled but when Ez spoke those last words, the wolf just started to laugh, shaking his head. He clapped the cat on the shoulder and then looked at Micah.~
You... I feel pity for you... I would have just beat you... Him... he's gonna do way worse... have fun little rat....
~The wolves turned, grumbling some, but left Micah standing there with Ez who turned slowly to look at the rat.~
You shouldn't cheat them, Micah... they'll eventually take it out on you... but I suppose you don't care much about that hmmm?

You look like you mighta lost something ...
-As Matches left the apartment building in search of Micah he'd be greeted by the stunning little cat he'd been thinking about. Kit had seen Ez circle his prey and now he intended to give them time. He scratched the back of his head rubbing one horn idly as he moved in closer slipping up to Matches circling him a bit with those strange vibrant green orbs-
... you haven't come to see me ...
-He pouted softly but there was a dangerous glint in his eyes ... -
I thought we had ... like ... a connection ... love at first bite ...
-Micah felt a shiver at being cornered by the wolves but them he could handle. His eyes shut for a moment when he felt Ez behind him and he knew he was safe from the wolves but he had much bigger problems. Not to mention the fact that as he turned around staring up at the much taller cat his heart sped up and it wasn't from fear. Fuck. He was so beautiful. So wild. So crazy. He was in love with the fact. He shook himself. NO. He was in love with Matches and he had him. Still, if that was true why was it that only Ez had ever stolen his breath and still stole it ... -
It's only cheating if you get caught ...
-He smiled pulling the hidden card from his sleeve ... -
They're fault for playing a rat ...
-He flipped the ace slowly between his fingers before shrugging ... -
... besides ... if they killed me ... I bet it'd be a lot faster than what you intend to do isn't it? Maybe I'm courting a quick death ...
-That wasn't true and it wasn't because he expected Ez to spare him but rats were survivors at their core. They rarely went on suicide missions. Insane, sure. Crazy, definitely. But not suicidal. Not in their mixed up minds. Deep down he knew Ez would protect him, hoping it was cause he still loved him, but knowing that the cat did want his revenge and he'd not let anyone else have it. He stared up into those eyes and frowned a moment as he reached out his hand despite how crazy it was and touching Ez. He brushed the hair from his eyes ... -
... or maybe I can't stand the wait and I'm letting you find me like this. It's what you want isn't it ... cornering me ... alone ... you deserve your revenge ...
-There was a sadness in those eyes, regret, and not for his own pain but the mistake he'd made. He missed the cat and while he liked having Matches in his bed there wasn't a night he didn't think about Ez. A night he didn't miss him and want to undo what he'd done but he was too smart to know there was no undoing what he'd done. No turning back. He'd lost the cat for good and it remained to be seen whether he'd be allowed to live ... and in what condition. He steeled himself taking a step back from Ez ... -

~Matches stopped short when he saw the little cat and for a moment he seemed a bit surprised to see the cat and that was always interesting to the rat, anyone that could surprise him. But he suddenly became suspicious of why the cat was there.~
I'm looking for Micah.... why are you here?
~His head dipped and for a moment the rat looked dangerous, insane, the way Ez did at times. The madness swirled in the rat more so than it did in Micah. The rat looked ready to attack if need be and the way he seemed to bristle suggested he wasn't so stupid to think that it was just a coincidence that the cat was here and Micah wasn't.~
~Ez's brow arched as the rat touched him and when he spoke about how Ez deserved his revenge the cat raised both brows and a slow smile crept to his lips when he saw the sadness in the rats face.~
Are you looking for pity? Or just trying to martyr yourself?
~He growled the words and then he stepped in as Micah stepped back, invading the rats personal space. There was an electrical charge through the air that rippled between them.~
You look so sad, Micah. Is Matches not everything you ever wanted? Enough to play a bagheera, wait... not just a bagheera, but one that was raised by serial killers? I thought he must be something very very special. Why else would you take such a risk? Aren't your kind known to be survivors? I thought survivors were smart?
~He reached out and touched the rat, brushing through that crimson hair.~
Let me ask you something, Micah.... What makes you think that taking out my revenge on your flesh is going to be enough for me? I mean... blood, flesh... it'll just heal.. and yes I could skin you over and over again. But I'd rather break you first...
~He sighed, letting his hand fall as he shrugged.~
How is your pack, by the way?
~And there it was. Ez wasn't going to just take out Micah but was going for the whole pack, or so it seemed. He straightened up and looked around.~
Come with me, Micah... we should talk alone...
~He took a step back and waited to see if the rat would follow. It was dangerous, there was no way of telling what the cat had in store for Micah. But either way, none of it sounded good.~

-Kit moved in closer circling the rat slowly. He could feel the dangerous swirl of madness and it only drew him in closer. He couldn't help it. He'd grown up around mass murderers and serial killers. He was the tamest of them all in the sense he rarely killed himself, he felt himself more a muse, inspiring others to kill. He arched a brow shrugging innocently ... -
Last I saw him he was playing cards with some wolves ...
-He purred the words soothing the rat a little before he moved in even closer ... -
Cause I was playing my cat and mouse game with you but you won't fucking come chase me ... so I'll have to chase you ...
-He ran his pierced tongue over his bottom lip idly letting his arms wrap around the rat a little bit as he gripped the lighter out of his pocket lighting it up with ease, off and on ... -
I'm going out to a bar ... no one else will come with me ... so you're the lucky one.
-He smirked a bit but there was something in that gaze and this close it was hard to stay no to the stunning car. Micah arched a brow before rolling his eyes a little bit ... -
Pity? From you? Hardly ... I know you better than that ... and I wear no crown of thorns ... just speaking the truth ... for once ...
-He smiled at that before it faltered when the cat was in so close ... -
No ... he doesn't match up to you ... does that make you happy?
-He growled a bit shrugging ... -
We're also insane ...
-He felt the touch making him smile again as he leaned into it staring up into those beautiful eyes. He let his hand slide up the cat's chest ... -
You really think you can break me?
-The look in his eyes was dangerous. He was almost daring Ez and it was a bit crazy but that electricity sparked between them and even Ez would have a hard time denying how much he still wanted to make the rat moan. It all shifted when he mentioned his pack. Micah's eyes narrowed dangerously ... -
This is between us Ez ... don't go after my pack ... please ...
-The please wasn't begging, there was an underlying threat there, Micah would never forgive his pack being harmed and some part of him wanted Ez back. Maybe he couldn't have him but that door would be shut if his pack was hurt in any way. He arched a brow when he was asked to come along and speak along with the cat-
Why should I?
-He hesitated moving after him so easily. His eyes were on the cat but the truth was he didn't want him to leave either. He just wasn't sure he wanted to be alone with him. He'd grow back his skin but it'd hurt ... alot ... -
