~There was darkness, just blind darkness and hunger, blinding hunger. There was nothing other than that want and need for blood. Ciaran was fucking loosing his mind. Finn and Jules had watched as they'd drug Ciaran down and Jean Luc allowed the others to drain him to the brink of death. He was bricked into a tomb down deep under the big house in the Paris catacombs. He'd tried to remain calm, tried to keep that cold demeanor, but it didn't last. Eventually the monster had taken over, screaming, clawing and kicking at the mortar. It was insanity. At some point he broke, laughing hysterically. What Ciaran had been, well it wasn't what he was now. But the sound, the crazy sound of chinking sound of bricks coming down. When the first ray of light shot through, the creature behind the wall snarled, his claws coming up. He snapped those fanged jaws as a hand reached through to pull down more of the bricks.~
Ciaran?
~The voice was a question, but Ciaran wasn't really Ciaran anymore. As the opening widened, the hunter snarled out, pushing through the opening to get to anything with blood. In that moment he was wild, no longer even reminiscent of anything with humanity. Devin stood by his brother, holding one of the vampires in that huge maw of his. He pushed the vampire hard at Ciaran as the vampire clawed to get out. At that moment, Ciaran tore into the vampire in a vicious way. The moment that one was drained, another was tossed at him. This went on as the vampire drained not one, not two, but six vampires before he calmed. But he was still looking feral, more feral than he'd ever looked. Harlin would would see that monster, that thing that all vampires really were, deep down.~
~Before~
~It started at dawn. They had the element of surprise. And when they attacked, that element worked well for the pack. The foxes were using every trick they knew to confuse the vampires in the house. The coyotes were slipping along in and out of shadows followed by the cats who were all muscle and frightening claws and teeth. The core pack split, Ren, Em, Hawk, Corbin, Colt and Jack going after Jules. Ace, Devin, Nyx, Ash, Noah, Declan and Harlin went first for Finn and then to find Ciaran.~
~As the insanity broke out, Jean Luc had Jules with him. Jules was breaking, slowly starting to become an animal, as Jean Luc really wanted. It was Em that came through the door first, the vampire's speed surpassing the wolves, cats and coyotes. Em surpassed those that were suddenly in the path to guard Jean Luc, but the group behind him were forced to deal with the onslaught. Hawk had shifted to that bigger form, trying in vain to catch up with Em. The coyote in him felt the need to protect the vampire. But he was slammed roughly into a wall by a big vampire and then the coyote howled as fangs sank into his shoulder. A chunk was ripped from the coyote as a smaller deadly coyote danced in and jerked the vampire off. Colt and Corbin jumped on the bigger leech, tearing into him. But the damage was done and Hawk was sinking to the floor.~
~Ace and Devin were at breakneck speed to get to Finn. Both picked up his scent with ease, dodging down into the depths of the house. The brute at the door seemed ready, but as they rounded the corner, a big black panther darted passed and pounced on the big vampire, taking him down easily. The door to the cell slammed open. Finn and Flint had been near the door, hearing the chaos. Right before the door, Finn would smell Ace, know he was there. And to no surprise of the young vampire, he would see his mate on the other side of that door, a snarl on that big maw. He had to duck to come into the room, that huge clawed hand reaching out and tugging Finn to him, hugging him tightly. Flint, for all he was worth, still skittered back at the sight of that big war form. Most vampires never got that close to a werewolf, not ever. It was entirely too dangerous. And now, not only was there one, but there were more and Flint was pretty sure death was about to follow for him.~
