-West kissed the coyote back and smiled cupping his cheek-
I can take care of myself Quinn ...
-He purred back hearing the words he said to Sigh who just nodded. West shrugged as he was teased until they got the doorway. He frowned but pulled back from the vampire after he nodded appreciating that he took a moment ot calm him. Still after a moment he pulled back and looked across-
Don't touch me inside ...
-He gave the simple command before walking in and he felt blinded by the pitch black-
I can't see anything ...
-He frowned seemingly disturbed by his blindness which was obviously a bit strange since he had been blind for a while now. Still he turned slowly-
Is this room where the bodies were left?
-He waited for Eli and Sigh to either say or lead him and when he was where he wanted to be he stopped and sat down in the middle setting up a few candles around himself as he let them up carefully before he sat crosslegged and shut his eyes murmuring softly. A words to lead him into a trance. This place was being shielded but nothing could erace everything ... there had to be a trace .. soemthing ... he just had to pull back the wool from his eyes. Sigh watched curiously before he frowned gazing around ... it was disturbing to smell nothing. He looked at Eli-
I'm going to keep an eye on the outside ... call me if you need help
-He touched Eli's shoulder before he moved towards the main entrance patrolling a bit slowly to make sure they would not be interrupted ... -

Did I say you couldn't?
~Quinn snarked back, but there was no real heat behind it. He smiled though, his hand brushing along the boys face before heading off. It didn't take them long to get inside. And Eli nodded at the request, letting his hands drop away from the blind emissary.~
Yes...
~Eli responded, helped West to sit and then backed off. He leaned in to the snake's touch but just nodded, watching the human get to work. Eli's eyes were playing along the room, trying to pick up something anything, but there was nothing and it was annoying the vampire. Once the room was flickering with candle lite, Eli grew completely still, like a statue to let West work. It was hard, like digging through compressed sand. Whomever had done this, had it done it well. And the deeper West dug, the harder it seemed to catch. It was like he could see a glimpse of something, a dark shape that flitted around the edges of his vision. But when he looked straight on, it was gone. But there was SOMETHING there, something powerful, that much West could get and it was dark, destructive force. And just when it felt too much, like he would never actually see it, West would feel a sharp pull. Standing, trance like, he moved to the fire place, bent down and reached inside. Fumbling around, his hand brushed against something rough and that's when he was tossed back to the ground, like something shoved him. Eli was at his side instantly, the candles blown out and the room dark again.~
What the hell was that? I felt.... anger....so much hate and anger, West.
~Whatever it was, it was pissed that West had touched the thing in the fireplace.~

-When he was tossed back he was panting staring up, a bit of blood dripping down from his nose-
We can be angry too ...
-His voice was dark, a growl, and it echoed as if another voice was layered over West's much softer sweeter voice. He blinked a few times panting as he regained himself. He pushed up wiping the blood from his nose pointing at the fireplace-
Something within ... a charm maybe. Someone like me ... or Lark ... warded this place. Get it ... without it the ward will be broken
-He stood slowly, the darkness of the place didn't phase him but he felt the anger, the hate, the coldness. Still, he had his own dark force within himself and he wouldn't be frightened of ... he wouldn't be pushed away .. -

~Eli's brow arched at that response from the boy, that voice had him questioning where that came from and what the fuck had actually happened. As West told him what to do, the vampire stared at him, before slowly letting him go and standing up. He made his way to the fireplace, staring at it for a second before he crouched down and peered up and inside. He lifted his hand and began to feel around until he finally felt something. He tried to pick it up, and then the vampire shrieked, jerking back and was suddenly across the room. He was cradling his hand to his chest, fangs out, eyes dark as he panted a bit. He slowly uncurled his hand and stared down.~
It... burned me.
~His voice was shaky. Liam was in the room then, Sigh no doubt there as well having heard Eli shriek.~
What the hell happened?
~Eli glared at Liam and then held up his hand.~
There is something in that fireplace and it burned me when I tried to grab it. It shot West across the room, like he were nothing. So... there is that.
~He growled the words and Liam just stared for a moment. He then took a deep breath and walked to the fireplace. He leaned so he could reach inside.~
The front or the back?
~Eli gave an exasperated sigh.~
Front...
~Nodding, Liam shifted in such a way that his hand brushed up and against it. His fingers turned against it and when he finally grasped it, he pulled hard and tossed it onto the ground before them. It was a poultice bag, rough burlap with a red string wrapped. His hand was literally smoking.~
What the FUCK is that?!?

-Sigh was suddenyl at Eli's side, he was growling, his eyes glowering as he looked around before he realized there was no one attacking his mate. Sigh reached out looking down at Eli's hand, examining in carefully but it was already healing. West frowned softly-
I'm sorry ... I didn't know it would attack you too ...
-West watched Liam moved and the wolf finally got them what they needed. The emissary moved in closer and stared down-
A poltice bag ... powerful magic ...
-He took the chalk from his bag and began to draw symbols around the bag slowly-
It's what's masking everything ...
-He frowned looking up-
I'll need to bring this back ... Lark should see this ...
-He sat down and began to murmur soft incantations again as he dissabeled the bulk of the magic. He finally looked up at Eli-
Can I have a bit of both of your blood ... you too Sigh ... just drip it on the bag ...

~Eli stared up at the snake, a smile toying over his lips, turning into a smirk.~
Aww, that's kinda cute....
~But it was said so softly that no one but Sigh would hear it. But his eyes flickered to West. Liam nodded as West spoke. He took a step in closer and claws appeared before digging into his hand and dripping it onto the bag infront of West. Eli watched the wolf and then he shrugged, slipping from the snake. He bit down on his own wrist and let the blood drip onto the bag as well. He then arched a brow and nodded towards the bag as he was staring at Sigh. When the snake did it, he leaned into him. They waited for West to finish whatever ritual he was doing and then when they were able to pick up the bag, they slipped back to leave.~
Once we step outside with that, will we be able to catch a scent inside?
~Liam asked as they drew closer to the door. But it was Eli that spoke.~
I dont think it matters if we can. If that was powerful enough to mask all scents, there was probably a alarm on it of some sort. I don't want to stick around to find out who it'll call too. Let's get out of here... with all our heads.

-Sigh arched a brow, his eyes flashed for a moment looking animalstic-
Only I get to hurt you ...
-He teased but he tugged the snake against his body looking around still feeling as if something dark was just around the corner. Sigh did the same before offering his wrist to the vampire letting him lap up the last drops before it healed if he wished. West let his hand hover over the bag as he murmured softly using the blood as a way to boost his own strength. He lifted the bag slowly and frowned as he wanted to open it up but he had a feeling bad things were inside. He placed it gingerly in his own backpack and stood slowly. West nodded feeling a slight shiver at having the thing on him ... -
Me and Lark can give you an idea of who or what it was anyway once we look through it ... I don't want to be here any longer ...
-He gripped Liam's arm and let the wolf lead him. He didn't call to Quinn. He knew the coyote would be close and would come the moment he felt his heart was speeding up and his fear was like a thick heavy musk in the air. The emissary had paled a little bit. He could still feel a handprint on his chest and in fact there was a mark left on him. Shoved back so hard it had left him dizzy, and hungry, because inside of himself was still a thing that hungered for more power .. and this ... this was fucking power-

~Eli smiled at the snake, before turning his head to lick up the blood with a soft moan. Liam watched West as he performed whatever magic he was doing. He moved in as West picked it up, taking the boys elbow and starting to lead him towards the door.~
Lets get out of here.
~Eli reached out and tugged the snake along. Outside, as soon as they were through the back gate, Quinn was right there, leaning into the boy, scenting him, suddenly seemed worried that something was wrong.~
You smell... different.
~His brow furrowed, eyes shifting back and forth and then he pulled back a bit.~
Did... you smell a little like him?
~Quinn knew that West would know just whom he was talking about. He was looking into the boys eyes, searching and Eli cocked his head, brow arched.~
Wha's that all about?
~He said it more to Liam than Sigh. The wolf just shook his head.~
Later, let's go...
~They all went back to the car quickly, getting in and driving back home. It was quiet for awhile and when they got home, they'd find the house still lit up, waiting for them to come home. Kael was still up with Dane, Maddy, Reyes and Lark were with them too. Lark stood up when West drew in closer and made his way to the boy, a hand touching the emissary's shoulder.~
Come with me... right now.
~He lead the boy out to the greenhouse and pushed aside the table. There on the floor was a pentagram, one that weeks ago Lark and West had painted there and worked to make it strong. He lead the boy into it with him and took the pack from West opening it to drop the bag into the middle of it.~
So, you found this... I could feel it at the door. Come here, sit down and tell me everything that happened.

-Sigh tugged him in and claimed his lips after the moan unable to help himself. He followed the vampire along staying close like some menacing shadow ready to attack if anything threatened the only thing that mattered to him in the moment. West slipped into Quinn burying into him, gripping tightly ... -
He protected me ... and was rattled by the power inside of that place ...
-He murmured quietly knowing the others wouldn't understand but he knew Quinn would. He was amazed the coyote could smell when the wolf that was inside of himself came to the surface and he had when he was smacked back by the charm. When they got home West moved with Lark easily. He rid himself of the charm and slid back a bit frowning fearfully-
It was hidden in the fireplace ... I felt it on the edges of the darkness ... the moment I touched it ... it sent me flying back ...
-He lifted his shirt slowly, there a red mark remained, a hand print-
It burned the others but Liam finally got it out ... I disabled the charm on it with their blood but ...
-He chewed his bottom lip-
Should we open it? I don't like it ... it reeks of something ...
-He licked his lips thought and part of him looked frightened and wary but the other looked ... hungry ... -

~Quinn hovered after that wolf had reared it's head, following West like a shadow, even as they entered the greenhouse, the coyote followed. Eli was right on his heels, he wanted to see this take place. Kael was up as well, eventually they'd all sort of angled into the greenhouse and were hovering around watching Lark and West. The gypsy looked up at them and gave a slight smile before he turned back to West.~
No, well we shouldn't open it until we have it warded in the circle. So that's what we're gonna do. And then we are going to burn the burlap around it and open it, kay?
~He nodded, waiting for West to agree. He smiled when he did and then lead him to the edge of the circle.~
Okay... you sit here and focus. I'm gonna get the stuff we need.
~He started moving about and then he stopped staring around the room. He smirked a bit.~
Okay, you all gotta get out. A few can stay, but not all of you. We need to concentrate. So.. you all figure out whose staying and the rest of you leave... shoo... now... go...
~He waved his hand at them and Kael cocked his head, brow arching and then he looked at Reyes like get your fucking witch under control. But he just leaned against the wall, unwilling to move yet. Lark ignored them though and got the rest of the things they'd need. He put a mortar and pestle infront of West with a bunch of dried herbs in it and then began going around to the point of the star and set candles, lighting them and saying a prayer over them.~

Ok ...
-West seemed to relax a bit once he had Lark near him and speaking calmly. He sat down slowly focusing on the candle he light in front of himself, crossing his legs, and staring off into the abyss needing to chain back the thing inside of himself. Fear had woken it up, fear and power, and West did not like whatever had made this bag. Reyes grinned a bit when the gypsy ordered out ... -
You heard him ...
-He teased Kael before looking at the alpha-
Quinn isn't gonna leave so maybe the rest of us should ... I'm sure Lark will come get us once they figure shit out ...
-West reached out touching the mortar and he began to grind the herbs, relaxing a bit slowly, his breathing going calmer. Reyes turned and pushed Eli gently-
Come on vampy ... it's your bedtime soon I think ...

~Kael just arched a brow at Reyes, but after a bit, they all filtered out, but Lark wasn't really paying attention any more to any of them. Reyes was right, Quinn stayed right there, not moving at all. Eli arched a brow at the cat, looking down at the hand touching him and then back up at the cat, before back to Reyes.~
Uh huh...
~He turned, pulling Sigh away and left the others to it. Lark sat back down with his own herbs and began to grind them into a fine powder. He closed his eyes and cleared his throat. The chanting was soft, but it was the same that Lark used in the protection spell and West would know he was reinforcing that spell before they worked on deconstructing this one. It was going to be a long morning.~
~Quinn eventually ended up laying on the wooden table, leg dangling over the edge, head back just listening to them. And they chanted, changing it at some point and Lark used the herbs to add to it, burning some, blowing others over the bag, all the way tapping into that power in West to unlock this spell because it was strong. They were putting up a fight and it was draining them. When Reyes would come and check on them, he'd find Quinn awake again, but just sitting on the table, knee up at his chest, watching them intently. He looked up for a moment at Reyes and then turned back to the two on the floor. He didn't look at Reyes when the cat approached. The two on the floor were literally just chanting deeply, eyes rolled back and sweating. It was insanely strange. Quinn sighed.~
They've been like this for about two hours now. Just straight, not stopping.
~His voice was so very soft, as if he were afraid that his talking would mess something up.~

-Reyes slippedback inside moving to lean against the table near Quinn. He stared across the the two murmuring back softly ... -
They're ok though?
-He glanced at the coyote knowing he was anxious. He could smell it on him. West was on the ground focused and suddenly the room shifted a bit. A wind seemed to pick up out of nowhere, a vortex, spinning around the two witches, blowing all the handles out. Reyes's eyes adjusted quickly as if it was daylight again. He focused in on the two easily feeling a presence in the room. A wolf, it brushed up against him and he growled staring around suddenly. He'd felt the animal, knew it, but he couldn't sniff it out and as his eyes focused he could see the prowling beast appear and dissapear. It moved around and round the two witches, appearing and dissapearing, a ghostly visage. It stopped behind West and growled low and dangerous before pouncing on the poltice on the ground, both bag and wolf bursting into flames. It was a great blinding flash, blinding the big cat who had been focused so intently on seeing in the dark that the spark of light made him groan in pain and shut his eyes. When he opened them it was light again, the candles flickering back and on the ground the bag lay smoldering and burning away revealing the contents within. West was taking soft gasping breaths, crouched a bit animalstic staring at the thing intently as if unable to look away. Reyes gripped Quinn's arm to stop him from going to his mate if he tried-

I think so....
~Quinn's voice was soft as he responded to the cat, looking over at him for a minute. And then he stiffened. He could feel the way Quinn shivered, apprehensive. He didn't move though towards them, even as it suddenly went dark. Instead he just stared were he was, perched on the table until the lights came back up and West was panting on the floor. He moved as if to go to West, but Reyes stopped him and the coyote growled at the cat. But it was Lark who spoke.~
It's okay, Quinn...
~His voice was shaky though as he tried to comfort the coyote. He was trembling a bit himself and Reyes could see that he'd been pushed over, but was now sitting back up. He shifted up to his feet, but crawled around the circle to West, slipping in against him, his hand playing down the emissary's spine.~
It's okay... it's done... come on, let's take a look, huh?
~He nudged West and then crawled in towards the remains of the bag. In one hand was a stick and he was soon crouched over the bag, poking through the remains with the stick, testing things before sticking his hand in it. He made a few noises, hums and ahs as he continued his search. Finally he pulled back, a black piece of stone at the center or it all and something Lark didn't touch himself, gingerly dusting it off.~
Well, that's interesting... you feel that, West.
~He took his hand and held it just over the stone. West could feel it, the cold hate and disgust coming off this thing, like a frozen evil. It pulsed off them, and West, well he could see it, dark and fathomless. But Lark leaned back, pulling West back too.~
That's gypsy magic there... Another witch... But there's something else there too, you feel that coldness, heartless... souless... another vampire. They used a vampire's blood, a powerful vampire's blood.

-Reyes's grip tightened on the coyote unsure if either one of them interfering might mess everything up and he couldn't have Lark hurt because the two of them interfered in some stupid way. He stared up and relaxed a bit when Lark spoke but his brow furrowed at how shaken the gypsy sounded. West was gripping the ground hard, so hard he'd broken a few nails and bits of blood was staining the floor. He shook his head ... -
It smells of death ... old death ... we shouldn't have brought it here ...
-His eyes were wide and terrified but he stayed where he was. He couldn't move he just watched Lark examin the contents of the blood. West finally made himself move. He reaced out a bit and drew his hand back as if burnt ... -
It's so cold ...
-He frowned looking at Lark-
I thought gypsies hated vampires ... why is one working with one?
-He frowned a bit apprehensively ... -
We should get Eli and Dane here ... maybe they can recognize the blood?
