It's better that you brought it here than to have it still out there. It'll lead us to who is doing this.
~Lark shrugged, but then he lifted his eyes to Reyes and a frown appeared for a moment before he looked over at the boy next to him.~
We don't. Not usually... but West, anyone can be bought with enough money... and Gypsies are nothing of not the golden rule of that. I don't think we should get Eli and Dane just yet. I think we need to look a bit into this first. Besides, it's still daylight. We have a few hours until they will be awake...
~He frowned and then he stood up, gently pulling West up as well. The moment they stepped out of the circle, Quinn was suddenly by West, tugging him in closely and nuzzling into him. He was frowning, looking worried and West had to know, could feel that power of the alpha still right there. Lark moved in closer to Reyes.~
I don't think anyone should touch that thing. Can you get me like something from the kitchen, maybe like I don't know... a bowl or something and something to pick it up with.

I don't want to meet what did this ...
-West frowned a touch. He stared at Lark though and nodded. He slipped out and the moment that Quinn was next to him he buried against his neck and buried abit into the coyote closing his eyes. He felt the alpha wrap around him protectively and the coyote could swear all he smelled was wolf, not West, just pure fucking wolf, like a cloak. He whispered into Quinn's ear, barely speaking above a whisper so only he could hear it-
I let him out ... he protected me back at the house ... when I got hit ... he absorbed some of the power else I think I'd have broken a rib. I trust him ...
-He frowned a bit knowing Quinn wouldn't like the sound of it. Reyes tugged Lark in kissing his forehead a moment ... -
If it's a gypsy ... can you call home and find out who it might be? Who might work with a vampire?
-He asked softly before leaving the gypsy. He came back with a thick bowl and some tongs and picked up the bag setting it inside before covering it with a lid. He followed Lark's direction on what to do with the bowl before tugging the gypsy in to him and caressing his cheek. They were left alone. West had slipped with Quinn outside needing to go for a walk to relax, and he wanted to be close to the coyote for now. The big jaguar stared down arching a brow-
You know you have all our blood ... I know you've used some of it before ... but maybe you should use more to protect us? I'm sure Dane would give more to you if you needed it?

~Quinn frowned at the boys words, but he just tugged West in closer. He didn't like the idea of that spirit getting out at all. He knew that Lark was helping, or least West was saying he was helping. And West seemed way more confident since the witch had shown up. But that being said, it scared him that Lark thought that letting that thing out would be a good idea. So this news was unsettling. Quinn had almost killed his own pack because of that creature. He'd almost lost his mind and fuck if that idea didn't sit well with the coyote. To the point that even West could feel that worry and stress hanging in the air between the two of them as they left the room together.~
I could call them. I think that's actually probably the first thing I should do. My kin can put out some feelers. If a gypsy is with a vampire, he'll have his whole family pissed and worried about him. It'll make it easier to sort out. But you know... not all witches are gypsies and vice versa. But it's a good lead.
~He set the bowl down on the shelves, but put it in such a way that it looked almost like something disguarded and old. He then reached out and tugged Reyes to him and leaned against the cat. Reyes could feel the boy sag against him, worn suddenly and tired. He gave a little soft laugh.~
You know, West is so powerful. He has no idea how powerful he really is. It takes so much out of me to keep up with him. It's just such a raw power, he's a natural witch and doesn't even know it.
~His head cocked up to look at the cat.~
I can, but this.. this is old, Reyes, really old and really powerful. I can redo the protection spells over and over and they'll only do so much. I don't know, Reyes. I think I'll call home first, then I need some sleep and then food, or food and sleep, I don't know. I just feel drained...

-A bit of light shined through the massive leaves up casting pleasing shadows, not that they meant a thing to West, for him, it was always darkness. He could feel the warmth of the fading sun on his arms and that felt good. He could also feel the street ebbing off Quinn like smoke from a vulcano about the erupt. He stopped the coyote and cupped one side of his face slowly staring across at him with those pale pale orbs-
I need you to trust me Quinn ... I can't do it if I feel your stress and hesitation ... he protected me ... Lark has helped me use that power ... and I know it will be ok this time ...
-He murmured the words softly frowning a touch. Reyes nodded easily before he held the gypsy close wound up in his warm embrace. He nuzzled into him, his hands playing up and down his back, caressing, soothing. He grinned a bit and lifted the witch up in one fell swoop holding him in his arms easily-
Well he has you to teach him. You both scare the shit out of me ... the way you sit there for fucking hours in some trance ...
-He shook his head as he carted the witch towards the kitchen intent on feeding him something ... -
We can decide after you rest. First you eat something ... and then yeah right to bed ... I can bring the others up to speed ...

~Quinn's fingers were laced with the boys as they walked. He was stopped, West's hands pulling free and cupping his face. He spoke, asking the coyote to trust him. He sighed, his eyes falling to the ground. His aura screamed nervousness, but there was love there as well.~
I do, West, completely. I just... it makes me nervous. I'm not telling you to stop, or trying to make you stop, but I can't help being nervous about it.
~Quinn pulled West in closer and nuzzled into his neck, kissing softly right under the boys ear.~
I love you West, trust you with my life. I know you can do this. Just let me be nervous about it.
~He purred the words into West's ear and then smiled against his neck so he could feel his lips curve, know he was trying to lighten things a bit. Because it was true, he trusted West completely. And even though Lark scared the fuck out of him, he trusted the gypsy to keep West safe. He'd sat, watched them, night after night, and Lark was only helping, always willing, whatever West asked. And he could just feel that the witch liked West, would protect him and that was good enough for the coyote.~
I can't go all rawr on an enemy... can I?
~He made clawed paw motions in the air, but laughed as he was lifted, head back and then wrapping his arms around the jaguar.~
Have I mentioned that I love you... it's disgusting really. I mean, I was pretty sure I was just going to use you for your body and then leave you. But you have just figured out what a lazy fucking asshole I am, and you still don't care. You're amazing...
~This was the diatribe falling out of Lark's mouth as they entered the kitchen. Lark let the cat sit him down and as he went to find Lark food, the gypsy called his home. Listening to the Witch talk to his family was like trying to decipher an alien language. Maddy would walk in with Kael from the back as the Witch spoke in this strange mix of English, Celtic, French and some other sort of strange mix of who the fuck knows. Kael's brow arched as he looked at Maddy and then at Reyes.~
So? What's going on?
~The alpha moved to drop down on a stool at the island, eyes shooting towards Lark as he kept talking in the booth at the breakfast nook.~

-West felt the love and nervous rolling off the coyote. He felt a shiver when the coyote kissed under his neck ... -
Stop distracting me ...
-He teased before smiling as he felt the smile on Quinn's lips. He claimed his lips right back falling a bit into the quiet moment between them. He buried back into the coyote and the rumbling purr sounded strangely like a wolf. But he still smelled of West and the blind emissary was buried into the coyote just holding on to him enjoying the momenet between the two of them. The two stayed standing out there for a while just needing the quiet moment between the two. Meanwhile Reyes was carting Lark like a sack of potatoes in his arms ... -
You can use still me for my body. I use you for yours ... I prefer you lazy like this. Like when I wanna fuck you in the middle of the night ... you are too lazy to push me off ...
-He teased growling in his ear before setting the witch down cause he really was a lazy asshole. The jaguar was fixing him a sandwich when the alpha walked in. He was listening to him talk on the phone and he really couldn't understand shit. Reyes came back pushing the plate of food towards the witch before looking at the alpha-
They figured out the bag thing is done by a witch ... a gypsy ... and made with some old vampire blood ...
-Reyes shrugged taking a hit from his beer-
Lark is calling home to see if they know of any gypsy whose working with a vampire ... I didn't think any of the vampires here were that old. You sure you didn't drag some bad juju from London with you? When Dane and Eli wake up maybe we should ask em ...

I just really like to pretend to be that lazy that late at night, so you do all the work.
~Lark had laughed at the cat. But then he was on the phone as Maddy and Kael came in. He watched the talking, taking the sandwich and chomping down. He smirked at Maddy, showing his food, teasing the fox some before going back to talk to whomever was on the other end. Kael listened as Reyes spoke, a frown on his lips as he leaned a hip against the counter.~
Yeah, I don't know how old the vampires are around here. I mean, there could be some really old ones, Savannah isn't a young city, that being said it's not as old as London.
~Kael frowned, watching Lark for a moment, his brow furrowed.~
What in the fuck is... what language is that?
~Kael's head shook as he glanced back over at Reyes. He checked the clock on the stove and then looked back at Reyes.~
They should be up soon. We'll talk to them and see what they think. Maybe the vampires here are trying to take the territory back, maybe they think I'm too weak as an alpha.
~He wasn't being self deprecating as he said that. He was just stating a fact and then he smirked.~
They might need to learn the truth behind their misunderstanding.
~Lark hung up the phone and looked over at the others.~
So, they are going to do some checks. My Babika was fucking offended when I mentioned the vampires. She said you as an alpha, should show them where your territory really is. She said you should show them force, who the alpha is.
~He was staring at Kael. And then he sighed, falling back in the chair.~
But that's not always the right choice. My mom is looking into it. I told her briefly about London and she's gonna call some of my family there. It's gonna take a bit of time. But she did say that we should go talk to the vampires here, see if they are lying or not.

I do ALL the work all the time if I remember correctly ...
-Reyes growled a bit arching a brow looking almost put off by having to take care of Lark but it was clear he secretly enjoyed it. Maddy was snorting and he flipped the witch off but he did sort of pout at Kaelan as if to suggest he was sad the wolf didn't make him food more often or pamper him like Reyes did for Lark which was a lie since the wolf did pamper him. Reyes was ignoring the exchange focusing on the alpha instead-
I'm just wondering at why they have attacked us like this now ... I thought maybe with London we'd done something wrong but maybe the vampires here are mad at us but for what reason? Are they pissed at Eli and Dane ... though neither have hunted much? I don't know ... I was once hired often as a killer ... I feel like this is almost a hire ... and no one hires anyone to do so much trouble without a specific reason ... this is more then them just poking holes to see if we strong ...
-Reyes grinned a bit-
I dunno it's kinda sexy ... should hear him bed ... actually ... don't ...
-He growled darkly but grinned a bit before nodding ... -
I dunno. We can ask but it feels more personal ... but if it is ...
-He grinned darkly-
I'd be glad to clear it up. I've felt a little like I've been on vacation for too long ...
-He crackled his knuckles slowly, pausing as he listened to Lark before snorting-
Talk talk talk ... I think a little violence would send a clearer message ...

~Kael sighed, leaning on the counter top.~
No, your right. It doesn't make sense for them to just come after the land. They would have hit me when... when I was way weaker.
~He sighed, glancing up and over at the gypsy as the boy spoke. He'd smirked at Reyes, talking about Lark being vocal and then he moved over towards his fox, pulling Maddy in as they sat down. He grinned at Reyes, leaning in some.~
Feeling like you getting content, kitty cat?
~Kael teased the cat, playing a bit with him before Lark rolled his eyes, grabbing Reyes' hand and tugging it closer.~
I think a little violence would be a mistake. I think when Dane and Eli wake up, you both should talk to them. And then at some point, soon, Kael should go and make a gesture of showing the vampires what kind of alpha he is. Without the violence, but plenty of intent.
~Kael smirked as Lark spoke, cocking his head.~
Give them a show of force. I might could do that.
~Lark nodded.~
Threatening without threat.
~He sighed then.~
But right now, I'm going to sleep. Wake me up after you've talked to the vampires, or whatever...
~Climbing out of the seat, he pulled Reyes up with him and headed towards their room. Half way up the steps, Lark stumbled a bit, reaching out, his hand finding Reyes and steadying himself. He stopped for a moment and took a deep breath.~
Took more out of me than I thought.

-Reyes let out a little sigh looking at the alpha. He didn't like this at all and Lark was right about one thing. They needed to make a big show and prove that messing with this pack was a mistake, and one that no one made twice. The big south american Jaguar snorted a bit ... -
I enjoy my flexible mate and nothing more ... wolf ...
-He teased the alpha back but it was clear he enjoyed staying and was slowly calling this place home. He moved behind Lark and wound an arm loosely around him as he listened to the gypsy take charge and speak forcefully. His own dark eyes flashed a bit as he grinned knowing fangs that had grown a touch as he played them across Lark's neck-
Would losing the whole lot of vampires in Savannah be so bad?
-He teased a bit but shrugged knowing Larkwas right. He walked along with the gypsy until he stumbled. His hand shot out catching him easiyl as he frowned before he suddenly lifted him back up and carried him easily-
Are you sure it's just exhaustion? You want me to get West?
-He frowned looking down with worry. He carried the gypsy up easily slamming the door shut with his foot as he set the gypsy on the bed. He tugged off his shoes and tossed them aside before he crept on the bed behind Lark winding his arms around him and tugging him in close to the length of his warm body. This place wouldn't have needed heaters even if they lived in Alaska with all the shifters. He nuzzled into the human in his embrace waiting for him to sleep. His fingers toyed through his hair absently not liking seeing Lark weak or in trouble ... he didn't like the realization he was just human and could get hurt so much easier then the rest of them. He understood suddenly why Quinn was always following West ... the thought drained sleep from his body as he stared off holding Lark a bit closer. This threat had to be neutralized .. he growled a bit annoyed ... any vampire that thought they could make a meal out of Lark would be sorry .... those golden orbs of a cat glowed in the dark ... he had been a killer for hire before but this ... would be on the house-
