"In 5 mins ... hunt me ... "
West grinned across at Quinn. He'd been sitting in the circle with Lark focusing on the wolf inside. He'd been working on gaining more and more control and slowly letting the leash loosen a touch. Quinn was of course nervous about it, the last time the wolf was out he'd lost his mate for almost a month. Now he could see the silvery wolf just wrapping itself around Weston and sitting on top of him like a cloak. His own eyes had shifted a touch, still pale, but somehow more wolf like and then he'd taken off running into the woods. He moved just a touch faster then normally but slowly he allowed the wolf more control he felt himself moved faster. He let the human go a touch seeing the woods more and more, well, not seeing, but feeling as he somehow just moved around obstacles. Quinn would take off after the allotted time trying to find his mate. It of course sounded nuts to him, he was taking his time, but slowly as he followed the trail he could smell a touch less of West and more and more wolf. West began to cover his tracks. It wasn't perfect, but the coyote had a harder and harder time trying to find his mate. He found him wading through an ice cold river trying to get to the other side. When Quinn came upon him West turned and smiled
"I can't feel the cold ... I feel warm ... like he's warming me ... "
He was looking a touch pale though, his lips a big blue from the icy water, but it didn't seem he noticed. He made it to the other side and got out taking off his soaked white shirt and wringing it out before dropping it on the ground. He stretched out content howling out at the moon as he kept walking. The faint faint scent of blood hit Quinn when he got closer and he could see West's bare feet were a bit tore up from running without shoes and from the rocks at the river. It wasn't lifethreatning by any means but it was a little off putting that the boy didn't notice. West sighed content letting his fingers trail across the woods
"I can feel them ... feel where they are ... it's so good to run ... to run without being afraid or have you holding my hand ... "
He seemed happy but it still felt ... wrong ... or maybe the coyote was just nervous about having to deal with the wolf again
