Walking the spiral

-Scout had taken over for Devil. He'd settled into job of theurge and and now with Moon gone he had more and more responsibility with the pack. Logan knew what was coming that night. They had waited for a full moon and tonight he would walk with the spiral. He sat in his bedroom staring a bit at his reflection unsure what was coming, or how he'd change. Scout was making the preparations below with Grim. Ret was showering and when the wolf came out he'd find the fox sitting and thinking on the bed ... -

We should go down soon ...

-He couldn't deny that he wasn't nervous. He knew that this wasn't something he'd be able to undo. He knew this was right but it didn't make him any less nervous. He watched Ret dress and then got up slowly moving to the door. When Ret got close he tugged him in closer and claimed his lips roughly-

Just in case you don't like what comes out ...

-He teased but they walked below and the rest of the pack was gathering slowly .. lazily ... -

~Scout had set up everything for the foxes and the pack was ready, even though there was an absence without Moon there. He knew that this was important and a way to bring the pack even closer. He also knew both the foxes were nervous, worried about what was going to happen. None of them could ever really explain it, or wanted to try. Meeting the father for the first time was literally mind altering. So they started the ritual and Ret and Jack would bring both the foxes down and they'd finally come face to face with the father and with the truth. Upstairs, Ret came out of the shower to get dressed. He assessed the fox, seeing Logan's nerves visible in his stance and frame. Ret didn't say anything, just began to get dressed. He stopped for a moment to look over at the fox and arched a brow.~

Yeah... soon... they'll be ready.

~Ret was tugged in closer and kissed, a smile teased at his lips when Logan made the little joke.~

I'm gonna want you when you come out, Logan. You'll still be you. Just... more enlightened, that's all.

~The smile was all full of confidence. But the truth was, Ret didn't know how the father would change Logan. But he had faith in the father. So the smile faded to something smaller and he cupped the fox's cheek.~

Listen to me, no matter what happens, the father will do what's right. I have faith in him and what he'll show you. You'll see. When you come out, it'll be right, no matter what.

~Down the hall Wilder was standing at the window staring out. Taking a deep breath he turned to where Jack had entered the room. Wilder walked across the room, head tilting as he looked Jack over.~

Ready?

~He wasn't sure he was. But he would do this for Jack, because it meant something to the kin and Wilder didn't think he could loose him again. He tugged him closer and kissed him roughly. Then he sighed, head pressed to the kin's forehead.~

So, let's go?

-Logan smiled as he watched the wolf dress. His eyes roamed his body and it was helping ease the tension in his spine and then the kiss and fuck it felt good. Ret always knew how to calm his nerves and make him feel as if everything would be ok. Logan grinned slowly-

MORE enlightened? Haven't I reach peak perfection?

-He nuzzled into the wolf and nipped slowly at his neck before his cheek was cupped-

As long as I don't lose you ... nothing else matters ...

-He nudged him and slipped downstairs walking towards the small group of wolves already gathered. Grim stood near Scout helping him prepare the ritual.Jack smiled at Wilder-

Born ready ... you?

-He leaned into the touch-

It'll be ok ... I promise ...

-He tugged him and they arrived a bit after the other couple. Logan glanced at his brother and nudged him as they moved forward when Grim motioned for them to enter into the drawn circle. He glanced back at Scout who was kneeled on the ground chanting softly preparing the sacred ground-

You'll both walk the spiral ... and meet the father ... it's an ancient ritual and what the father shows each of us is unique ... how it changes us is just as unique ...

-Grim shrugged a bit softly-

Advice from me? Don't fight what happens to you ... the journey can be peaceful or violent ...

-Spoils joined them as did the rest of the pack forming a semi circle of sorts around them and slowly Scout led them through the first part of the ritual before it was time and the foxes, first Logan, then Wilder, dissapeared into the umbra pulled down the spiral to the father to meet him and talk. Blue was sitting with Lucky as they watched and waited for them to return. Blue glanced at Lucky-

Bets on who comes back first? maybe who will be hotter?

~The ritual started and the foxes disappeared and the others, they could do nothing but wait. Lucky grinned at Blue.~

I got my money that Wilder come back first, but Logan is gonna come back hotter...

~Ret rolled his eyes when he heard the two wolves, but then he looked back to where Wilder and Logan had disappeared. He was standing next to Jack, their shoulders touching. Spoils and the rest of the pack were also just watching. Spoils walked past Jack and Ret, nudging them both, giving them his confidence that this would work out. It felt like forever but as some point a rift opened and Wilder crawled out of it. His head was down, dark hair falling in his eyes. He mumbled something and when Jack went to go to him, Ret held him back. Spoils made a noise and Jack would look up to see the alpha shaking his head no. They all watched with a held breath to see if Wilder was okay. He sat back on his knees, rolling up and then pushed back is hair, eyes opening. They were those of a fox, rimmed dark with golden brightness. He was still partially shifted, fangs and a slight more of a muzzle. As if he were trying to hold back the war form. His claws on his left hand dug into his thigh before he started to get the shift under control. He was panting and that's when Spoils moved in. But the Alpha stopped as Logan came spilling out as well. Ret tensed, but didn't move towards the fox. He waited for his alpha to make the call for them. Spoils head tilted, but Wilder was reaching out to touch his brother, grounding the two of them for a moment just by that single touch.~

-Logan came out and felt the pull to shift and run and he almost took off the moment he hit the ground but the touch from his brother pulled him to reality. He leaned into Wilder and nuzzled into his neck to scent him and when he seeked satisfied he stood slowly-

Wild?

-Jack had found himself pulled from going forward but he could stop staring at Wilder and it was only the look from Spools that stopped him from going closer but he couldn't help the call out to his mate. Jack seemed to hild his breath as Logan kept himself from running when he caught Ret's gaze and then he looked at Spoils-

Spoils...

-His voice was raw as if from screaming or who knows what else as he took a step in to the wolf not challenging but as if to show he was ok. There was a darker energy rolling off him now ...more dangerous less constrained but not insane ... not yet ... though all who walled the spiral were afflicted I'm some way-
